Actually, you know, swapping beach clubs for breathtaking canyons really sounds like a plan, very. As a matter of fact, this drive isn’t just, you know, about getting from A to B; still, you get amazing scenes and memories, as you do.

Alright, so before you just, like, rev your engine, what with some thinking needs to happen, that. Basically, it’s roughly a 2.5 to 3-hour straight shot, very, yet who wants that, alright? Ultimately, the goal here actually is to savor the drive. Naturally, what with a handful of routes are things to consider. Alright, what with hugging the coastline a little longer maybe, so as to soak up those last bits of sea view, very. Maybe a trip further inland for, you know, some village vibes too, okay? As I was saying, the D555 and D952 roads make for seriously stunning views, kind of.
Okay, so, arguably, consider plotting some checkpoints into the, you know, sat nav. Usually, a little research now can prevent plenty of ‘did we just miss something truly outstanding?’ moments, that. Seemingly, allow, for example, a full day, at least, to actually do this drive justice, just. Just a little spontaneity always helps to, but generally, I mean, it always pays off to get, you know, an outline idea in your head before beginning the trip.
Saint Tropez: A Glamorous Departure
I mean, you are going to be leaving Saint Tropez, that, right? So too it’s almost impossible not to feel at least a tinge glamorous doing so. What with the superyachts bobbing and the bougainvillea bursting all over. I mean, treat yourself to just, you know, one last croissant from a charming bakery, okay? And a final, just like, wander by the harbor, that. Obviously, you know, breathe it all in, right?
First, as a matter of fact, you want to head inland, right. Instead of, like, going directly to the highway. Well, what with a scenic route via Ramatuelle and Gassin makes you appreciate why this bit of coastline got such a rep for glamour, almost, very. Seemingly, Ramatuelle, so this village perched right atop the hill really gives unreal panoramic views, kind of. Yet, the medieval streets are absolutely gorgeous, you know? Similarly, Gassin too, very, kind of; in that case, boasting that, too, ‘most gorgeous villages in France’ badge, just. You know, these brief stops offer so, you know, those last dreamy views, alright? Then too, an amazing look at places that seem like someone photoshopped them from picture books.
Along the Route: Highlights and Hidden Gems
As a matter of fact, leaving Saint Tropez, you know, places like Sainte-Maxime offer actually something kind of like a, almost, less pricey taste of the Riviera charm, apparently. Naturally, the views there, so they’re just as dazzling, alright. So, too it’s almost, the beaches tend to be slightly less jammed with the beach loving sort, basically.
You could stop in the utterly charming town of Draguignan, so. Right, this, is that, offers a look into regular provençal life. Of course, stroll the marketplace; buy stuff, I mean, some local olives, perhaps? You could sip a pastis in a café. Really soak up the atmosphere, in fact. Seemingly, it’s very much a place for a genuinely local vibe, alright?
Seemingly, as you climb higher, what with you might want to stop in villages like Aiguines, right, because from there, right, you get, very, panoramic views over the start of the Gorges, in that case. You could stretch your legs here, obviously. Seemingly, the air gets crisper, that. The scenery looks wilder, too. Now that is when you begin, that, what with a feeling of nature on a pretty grand scale comes into, just, you know, the occasion, so.
Gorges du Verdon: Europe’s Grand Canyon
So, as you approach the Gorges du Verdon, honestly, just, nothing quite prepares anyone, you know, for the sudden views, very. Still, I mean, the sheer scale of it hits, in fact. Clearly, the vividly blue water of the Verdon River winding, that, too it’s almost, along at the, you know, bottom, too. That is the most spectacular effect that comes to be, by the way.
Anyway, now that you made it. What with, that’s a major plus of this destination is you get lots of vantage points for snapping photos, actually. Apparently, the Point Sublime, in fact, lives up to its reputation. And in the meantime, the Corniche Sublime route, anyway, is all drama with its cliffside roads, right? That’s how you can, right, savor truly heart-stopping perspectives, actually.
Apparently, if the weather’s good you could rent a kayak or pedal boat on the Lac de Sainte-Croix, actually. Very fun. It gets you up, close, I mean, with the gorge from a fresh angle, that, kind of. Also, there you can relax on the beaches by the lake, you see.
