Kobe Tour: Ikuta Shrine, Kitano & Harborland Review

Thinking about seeing some popular spots in Kobe? Very cool! Kobe, located just a bit west of Osaka, it’s a place that somehow mixes the feel of a port town with a cosmopolitan vibe. People talk a lot about hitting up spots such as Ikuta Shrine, wandering through Kitano district, and hanging out at Harborland. These homes, or ijinkan as they are often called, each come in with a really cool style that totally shows the homeland of the family who lived there.

Like, I walked up the streets, there was this one old German house with ivy everywhere; the style felt so different versus the home next door, done up by people from America, or Russia, or England. It’s almost like each house has a backstory. Some, still, run as museums, which give people, actually, a quick peek into how those expats really lived. In a way, what caught my eye more than what you could see, was that feeling of walking through, almost, a snapshot from old times.

Harborland: A Modern Waterfront Experience

Once I left the older homes, I hit Harborland, where the look switched a lot from the earlier spots visited! Think open water, shining views, stores lined along the coast; generally, this place gives one energy for now! This district went from old warehouses into shopping places, with eats all over. So, you’ll notice folks stroll next to water, couples there to grab supper while staring as lights glimmer off buildings along waters. I think Harborland worked as the top way to wrap for your tour around spots.

Frankly, one thing not to miss has something to do with Kobe Port Tower. As I was saying, its hourglass design looks attractive; during certain moments it seems more, nearly, art itself when the light goes down upon all it reflects off into open views.
