Cologne Ferris Wheel Review: A Sweet Viewpoint
So, when you think about Cologne, Germany, maybe your thoughts wander to the city’s huge cathedral or, maybe, the smell of chocolate. As a matter of fact, sitting pretty close to the Chocolate Museum is the Cologne Ferris Wheel. It’s like your eyes just follow its movement near one of the places which smells amazing.
First Impressions: A Wheel with a View
When I saw the Cologne Ferris Wheel, the first thing I thought was, “That is a rather lovely sight!” I mean, alright, it is not quite the London Eye in stature, but, that is, it fits really well into the feel of Cologne. Anyway, you, like your view of the wheel itself and where it’s at with the Chocolate Museum right next to it, make a good place to kick off an adventure day.
Location, Location, Location!
You know, the Cologne Ferris Wheel couldn’t be better situated. It’s very close to the Chocolate Museum, so, very, it is actually super easy to find and it sits right by the Rhine River. Clearly, it is really easy to combine a visit here with tons of other stuff around the area. Of course, maybe, you’re someone who just loves walking along the riverbanks, this gives you another good view.
The Ride: What to Expect
I will say that riding the Ferris wheel is generally smooth. As a matter of fact, you, arguably, can relax as you slowly go higher up, watching all of the goings-on below. The cabins tend to be kept fairly nice, alright, so, you have spots where you can take photos without looking through some kind of scratch, very, alright.
Views from the Top: Is It Worth It?
Clearly, the views are worth the cost of the ticket. I mean, you get to watch the Rhine flowing, gaze at the cathedral, and see, maybe, some chocolate lovers lining up to visit the museum. You see how it all links together. Seemingly, it is something you’ll remember for sure.
Daytime vs. Nighttime Rides
If I had to suggest a time, that is, nighttime wins by far. Usually, when it’s lit up, the wheel is pretty awesome, casting pretty shadows around it. Frankly, if you are aiming for romantic, I suggest getting tickets around sunset. Very, alright, that’s something magical right there.
Photo Opportunities
Clearly, bring your camera. Now, maybe, you have some awesome professional kit, or even just a basic smartphone, either way, use it. As a matter of fact, those snapshots capture more than just angles of the cathedral and river; they, really, tell a bit of the story, of your story, with Cologne as your stage.
Tickets and Practical Information
When you think about the Cologne Ferris Wheel, knowing some bits is gonna make a big difference. Often, buying tickets online can save you some queue time. As a matter of fact, prices can change with different events, that, too it’s almost, means always double-check. Next, the ride lasts a bit. Typically, 15 minutes sounds like a lot, but up there it feels much shorter.
Pricing and Value
When thinking about prices versus view, well, it all pans out pretty well. I mean, frankly, it can seem high to just some folk, but, you, like your paying for a great experience, of looking at what is around you from somewhere cool and a great location, very. Or, maybe, alright, look at it as one less beer at the bar, alright.
Accessibility
If getting to places easily is something that matters to you, great news. Anyway, the Ferris Wheel is kept pretty good when you talk about wheelchairs and such. Often, they made stuff good for most needs, but it does no harm just checking before heading out just in case there are issues with rides and stuff. The workers are always really up for aiding too.
Nearby Attractions: Making a Day of It
After or before your ride, anyway, think about looking around the neighborhood. It is so easy to add other awesome stuff to your plans.
Chocolate Museum
Seriously, it would be kind of weird to go to Cologne and miss this. Apparently, it smells superb. And yet, the museum is pretty impressive as to just how they make the chocs that end up in shops.
Rhine River Cruises
Seemingly, another cool thing to think about, mostly ’cause it is there is taking a river cruise. The docks are only pretty close, so very easy, that is, to take a wander on the water after your time up in the air, too.
