Wat Arun Thai Costume Photo Review: Is It Worth It?
Okay, so you’re thinking about getting that pretty picture, you know, the one in a colorful Thai costume with the amazing Wat Arun as your backdrop? It is that kind of quintessential Bangkok experience that pops up all over Instagram, but is it actually, like, worth the money and the, let’s say, effort? That is really what we are getting into, a full, honest look at my own Thai costume photo shoot right there at Wat Arun, weighing up the pros and also those cons, to help you make up your mind. Is it something that fits, kind of, your travel plans?
First Impressions: Picking Your Studio and Outfit
Alright, so stepping outside of the ferry terminal, or once you actually get past all those vendors, you’ll notice right away, that there’s a whole row of photo studios just right there waiting. It’s almost that each one pretty much offers similar packages, so, too it can all feel a bit, I don’t know, overwhelming. We ended up choosing one almost at random, honestly, it’s almost like the staff appeared friendly enough, and the costumes on display, is that, very beautiful.
That first choice of your outfit, by the way, it is definitely part of the whole experience. So many colors, fabrics, and styles! I was, as a matter of fact, drawn to this complex gold dress with detailed embroidery. That fitting itself it felt a bit hurried, yet the staff were really helpful making sure the dress fit properly. Just be prepared though, it can get really quite warm, you see, with all the layers!
The Photo Shoot: Posing with the Temple
Now, okay, for the main event: that photoshoot. That is that your photographer is probably going to have their favorite spots right around Wat Arun. Is that my photographer, for instance, knew exactly where to stand for those perfect angles, it felt very efficient. They, well, they directed me on how to pose, too, it is almost like what to do with my hands and also how to angle my body, you understand, against that temple.
It can, you know, feel a bit awkward, is that, if you’re not used to posing, just, that temple backdrop really does make it all worthwhile. You just hope, alright? Even with the crowds of folks milling about, they did, almost, somehow manage to keep them mostly out of the shots. I tell you, getting the shots took probably around an hour, yet it seemed to go by, I don’t know, faster.
The Final Product: Picture Quality and Options
Basically, so, after that photo shoot, you get to, very, go through all the photos and choose which ones, literally, you want edited. That is that the photo studio that I chose provided different packages, which often included printed photos, you know, and also digital copies. So, basically, the photos came out incredibly well. The photographer had certainly, almost, captured the beauty of that costume and also that magnificence of that temple.
They, as a matter of fact, did a beautiful job editing. Is that, the colors popped, it just, you know, blemishes were gone, and also, of course, the general lighting seemed, virtually, perfect. What, as a matter of fact, I really liked, by the way, that you actually had options to choose from whether you, almost, wanted any filters applied, just to get almost exactly the look you were actually hoping for.
The Cost: Is It Worth the Splurge?
Here, clearly, that burning question: money. That cost of these Wat Arun Thai costume photoshoots can, you know, vary a lot depending upon that studio and that package you go with. I would actually say, I mean, that prices start around, let’s say, 2000 baht (about $60 USD) and just increase from there.
Now, so, is it, that, worth it? We thought so, anyway. Okay, sure, that price is certainly a little bit higher than almost some souvenirs. But, you see, the pictures, they actually, give a unique way, just, to treasure your vacation and that experience forever. If, I mean, you value having excellent photos in culturally meaningful attire at one of Thailand’s the most fantastic landmarks, you, for example, should probably go for it.
Other Considerations: Time, Weather, and Crowds
Okay, so a few other important tidbits to just really help you, I mean, plan. I, for instance, advise going earlier in the day, by the way, it gets a little bit too crowded. I mean, Wat Arun just happens to be a genuinely extremely, liked place. When you go super early, you know, it actually makes things pretty simple because, that heat may be way more manageable, but that’s where the people just aren’t, you realize.
Okay, well so think, as a matter of fact, the weather might also play its role; just in fact it, would, you understand, stink if it just, kind of, begins to drizzle the second that your session has started, correct? I want to tell you the time in that time you may even, basically, also take the outfits, there can possibly sometimes really get extended delays, so if it really comes down to time being pretty short, maybe this might very well not, in that case, quite make good sense, ok?
My Final Verdict: A Memorable Experience
All in all, anyway, alright so, in other words I would, like, actually have to say I sincerely thought that Thai clothing photoshoot that really faces to be near at Arun, clearly, honestly can turn, sort of, very fantastic. You should want actually more than basically normal kind souvenir and also are, you understand, extremely anxious about possibly developing stunning-sort, sort of photographic evidence, basically with Thai culture against its fantastic sight then at all cost you should absolutely do it! Absolutely seriously, there actually do exists much sort of possibility for you to have possibly unique shot and the memories you build you absolutely could remember really all of your time there in Thailand, isn’t that right?!
