The first stop was a small, isolated cove that our captain seemingly knew about. We were the only boat there, it’s a fact, and it felt like we had discovered our very own secret spot. The water seemed super inviting, and we jumped in for a quick dip. So refreshing! After drying off a bit in the sun, we cruised onward, along the coast. The captain acted to be almost like our own tour guide, you could say, pointing out places and sharing snippets of local lore. It added a nice touch, really.

Next up, the captain navigated us to what could be a spot for snorkeling. He knew an outcropping of rocks known to be inhabited by lots of marine life. Now, the snorkeling gear provided was quite basic, arguably, yet it did the job, as some might say. We spotted different types of fish, and, more or less, had a pleasant time exploring the underwater areas. That said, the water clarity wasn’t always top-notch, in some ways. A bit of surface debris did impact the visibility in places.

The tour included a stop at one of the beaches along Vloredafina Bay. We had a chance to stretch our legs, walk around a bit, and enjoy a drink at a local cafe. The vibe there seemed so chill, like your average tourist attraction! This little pause let us have a break from the boat and take in some of the atmosphere. The ride was, arguably, for the most part pretty smooth, though there was, seemingly, a bit of bumping in rougher waters. You might want to bring some motion sickness medicine if you are easily seasick. Also, be mindful of your belonging and protect from water splashes during your trip.

What I Enjoyed (and What Could Be Improved)

So, what were the highlights? For me, like, it’s, seemingly, without question, the scenery. The Albanian coast is something special, I must say, and seeing it from a speedboat gave a super unique angle. And, too, having a private tour allowed us to customize things a bit and skip what may be more touristy spots. Plus, our captain’s local knowledge and personal stories gave a bit more charm to the whole outing, if that makes sense.

But! Nothing is really totally perfect, is it? As mentioned, you could make a valid point about the boat condition being only so-so. Seemingly, with a little more upkeep, it could improve the feel of the adventure a lot. Likewise, communication seemed like a bit of a point of contention. Clarifying the itinerary ahead of time and seemingly confirming all details, yet, might help manage expectations better, if that makes sense. And the snorkeling gear… upgrading that would be a, very possibly, worthwhile move. Finally, like, just a bit more time at each stop might create an even more relaxed vibe.
