Seville Segway Tour Review: See City Highlights with a Guide
Alright, so you’re thinking about seeing Seville, is that right? Forget those crowded tour buses. How about something a little more fun and freeing? Like a Segway tour! I actually gave the “Seville City Highlights Segway Tour with Guide” a whirl myself, and I’m here to tell you what I thought.
Why Choose a Segway Tour?
Ok, so what’s so good about a Segway, right? Is that what you’re wondering? Well, walking tours are great, yes, but you’ll cover way more ground on two wheels. It’s also much better than being cooped up on a bus; you actually get to feel the Seville air on your face and really get among the sights. And frankly, gliding around on a Segway is kind of a blast, that’s also very important! So too it’s actually an adventure and a means of getting around, if you know what I mean. I actually find it perfect for seeing lots of highlights if you’re kind of on a short break or even fancy getting a feel for the layout of the area. Basically, before focusing on any sites for a little deeper visit later.
What You’ll See
Now, I thought this tour actually did a great job of packing in a number of Seville’s main sights. Naturally, you’re going to swing by the Plaza de España. Is that just a gorgeous spot or what? All those colourful tiles are wonderful and the architecture has something that really says ‘Seville’. We actually spent a fair bit of time there, that’s really important for a great selfie. We too swung around the Maria Luisa Park, such a delightful green area. Is it just the spot to kind of escape the bustle for a minute? That’s what I think anyway! And honestly, we couldn’t miss the Seville Cathedral, could we? And the Giralda. My guide was quite good too, pointing out loads of historical info, if you like that sort of thing. It’s almost as though I learned something!
The Guide Makes a Big Difference
The thing that can actually really make or break any tour is, without doubt, the guide. I think this is what makes this a tour a cut above. Fortunately, mine was excellent. As I was saying they knew loads about Seville’s background, history, whatever you like to call it and its best stories and, really importantly, they actually loved telling them! Is that them doing it from the heart? Yes it is. I too thought they were ace at well, handling the Segways (if you’re worried, you needn’t be!). Getting used to them, I will say, only takes about five minutes. The guide made us all feel really comfortable. They also had good suggestions for some restaurants and flamenco shows, should you like one or the other, or both!
Is it Worth the Money?
Let’s just discuss cash, shall we? Seville is not particularly a wallet-busting spot, by any means, yet tours can begin to add up. Is that so? It is! I honestly think this Segway tour is a pretty reasonable cost, bearing in mind what’s involved. You actually get a guide, that’s worth something. Segway hire, is something too, obviously. Above all, it really lets you see a good range of the area if you haven’t much time to start with. So, that might make it worth paying that little bit more. I think it actually gives great value for money, on the whole, would you agree? Yes you do!
Things to Know Before You Go
Okay, so here are just some points, right? I found sensible footwear is just vital. So skip the heels, too, ladies! Actually, you’ll be standing up for a good couple of hours. Depending on when you go, too it’s always worth considering sunscreen. Now is that Spain, so you might expect sunshine! But I also found the tour operator sent a list of all their tips, well in advance. So it gave me enough time to bear everything in mind, which actually helped! Another thing is, you do get a brief training session just to learn the Segway basics before going out on the road. Are they ace? Actually they are ace. That made me much happier.

This “Seville City Highlights Segway Tour with Guide” is, actually, a great means of seeing a lot of Seville a bit quickly and enjoyably.
