• The whales, obviously: Very frankly it doesn’t even matter how you slice it. It’s still quite an astounding sight. Still impressive no matter the circumstances. Especially for someone who doesn’t experience this, as they might say, “every day!” The sheer mass of them is, perhaps, awe-inspiring, to be honest. Especially that breaching? Truly magnificent.
• The landscape and people : I have gone around a bit. This tour did give me some seriously unique looks. Even at very remote corners of Samana. It allowed some experiences that felt so unique. I was privileged to meet various people and engage a bit! Which often added, just really like an emotional level and understanding to that. Also that place that I was fortunate to be touring!
• That lunch, though!: The food very often will be prepared right on Cayo Levantado. Prepared by various, very local vendors! Very, very typical DR fare. Was this, perhaps, like, the greatest meal ever? You know… possibly not. Even so it did add the thing I actually hoped it would. And that’s a cultural aspect! Even that island, to be very honest, is actually, typically just that picturesque image from like your desktop wallpaper. Like they are taken, those images! It could have had really cheap beer available there to drink. Really it would’ve actually been the picture perfect picture if so. Still. Still what can you actually do? Well, not much, still a ten out of ten experience.

What could have been better

• Too crowded: Yeah, there are crowds. So go in fully, really, being ready for that and it really won’t, actually, bother you so darn much. Too many humans aren’t for certain people! The whales draw lots of humans. Even Bacardi Island. It might be nice, though, to grab this, sort of like tour, though, that actually goes just that wee bit off of the beaten path. It sounds actually, kind of great doesn’t it? Too this all is dependent. If it has the big tourist times in the specific place it happens to take place. Just think on it before getting in this. Don’t claim I actually didn’t tell ya!
• Horseback trail conditions: Yeah listen. There’s a high potential. High potential for these trails. And that can easily actually just get real damn muddy quick, alright? So if the trails aren’t for you then consider not, maybe, using them. The faint of heart (I joke of course.) And make sure you wear the pants and attire that’s alright to mess up just a little wee bit, I suggest. No need to actually wear those real expensive threads. Don’t actually forget. Have like your garbage fit if the trails don’t feel right on the soul, my friend. And for sure do not be going naked, yeah? No, do be that covered so nothing just really grabs you. Yeah for example you are in the jungles of south and north america. No that I know too darn much though! No just do not. If I need to very specify then.
• Information availability: Sometimes that clear itinerary information gets tough to nail down. It may even happen as I’m telling you this, in real time. Getting good specifics does help make these specific trips to be, just more pleasant, very personally! Be sure of knowing that, too. Is, more or less, more knowledge of those types good to fully take down and follow the full process? Sure. Yeah and this is just, pretty solid advice for darn anything you buy for sure actually anyway now. So please always be looking, pretty please.
