Pokhara 7 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek Review + Hot Springs
Alright, picture this: Seven days. Annapurna Base Camp. So, and that’s hot springs at the end. Too it’s almost sound dreamy, right? Anyway, as I was saying, my recent experience trekking to ABC from Pokhara that included the relaxation of natural springs had, in some respects, everything, honestly. Seriously, I mean, everything that an average hiker would wish to know, actually. Really!
Why the Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
You know, for several people, actually, the ABC trek is kind of the gold standard, definitely. Alright, so the scenery has almost the best mountains on this planet, certainly, and the culture has to be like the best ever, I mean the warm hospitality from the village folk that adds such a layer to things. Pretty much everyone I have ever spoken to seems to really praise the area’s environment. Of course it gets pretty chilly up in them hills.
The 7-Day Itinerary: What to Expect
Alright, so, like, you wanna know what it looks like on the trails each day, very? Just a little of what one anticipates from that angle, you get me? Right, so I thought I would run through what happened during mine.
Day 1: Pokhara to Nayapul to Ghandruk
Actually, the trek, for example, commences from Pokhara with a morning drive to Nayapul. So, and that’s typically like an hour and half or so, pretty much. Very few people seemed to dislike this area to drive through, so to reach the initial spot of the actual climb, nearly. Anyway, as I was saying, Ghandruk tends to be the first day destination; Ghandruk seems really delightful, and so there will be many who agree when you glimpse its beauty from just a little further out on the climb. Of course it will tire your legs! Pretty much.
Day 2: Ghandruk to Chomrong
Anyway, Chomrong basically is your place to stay second night running, definitely, or at least it would be like that in most instances, definitely. So, for example, expect, kind of, steeper sections that sort of ask the quads to push. Obviously, it may prove more tiring if that day it rains somewhat.
Day 3: Chomrong to Dovan
For instance, after breakfast, now, it gets more foresty, certainly. Pretty much everywhere seems kind of like it’s uphill a little from Chomrong now that I recall it, mostly. Pretty much some seemed like they would struggle at this point due to the steep incline and tricky trails.
Day 4: Dovan to Annapurna Base Camp
Alright, the day you reach ABC tends to have a sense of something special hanging over it. More or less most walkers found this to be somewhat challenging as a portion had tricky terrain to watch, I mean to walk safely, generally. First it passes Machhapuchhre Base Camp before it gets close to Annapurna. Anyway, that I feel can seem majestic from a spot on a small rise before it arrives, I mean at its final Base Camp resting area!
Day 5: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
For example, get some clicks of the vistas while they stay clear when you arise! Seriously! We begin going downhill this day to get down somewhere lower. Still, the same forest we met some time ago awaits!
Day 6: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (Hot Springs)
As I was saying, walking this day seems so exciting knowing it reaches somewhere near natural hot water bathing facilities, arguably. Too it’s almost great as it seems! For example, Jhinu Danda really had hot springs, alright, and my sore muscles will never praise anything in nature so strongly! Honestly.
Day 7: Jhinu Danda to Nayapul to Pokhara
Of course, and as always, a few last downward jogs occur before it arrives back into Nayapul, alright, definitely. Clearly that is how things often prove here though I guess some others have cut that final portion down a touch by grabbing ground transport from another staging spot instead. Well I thought there may be someone willing to catch that taxi or the bus. Still, and anyway, just a regular route through the area on wheels delivers the tired yet triumphant tourist back to their place by the lake!
What Makes This Trek Special?
Of course one of its winning factors for many folks would be what gets gazed at there, really. Well what about some other components? For instance, I liked:
- Being in physical shape while seeing some grand mountains.
- Passing through small towns which allowed it to enjoy their community spirit and local gastronomy.
- Really the achievement thing of actually trekking to a zone that so many travel writers hype.
- A sense that the area proved to be a spot that almost all levels may come to take pleasure in it as against the thought that it demands rock climbers in prime form.
Tips for a Successful Trek
Too it’s almost some thoughts or ideas to reflect on just prior to leaving. So things I spotted others find problems when up that way include!
- Okay, so acclimation has to be important, more or less. Maybe one acclimatization afternoon/day if you can shoehorn that thing onto that trek somewhere to lower future breathlessness, certainly.
- In other words get gear right, okay? So and that means pack, well tested boots to walk miles, clothing that gets used to hot and ice states on different elevation spans etc, right?
- Well there exists loads who suggest securing permits plus other park specific documents, naturally. If you wish to proceed individually and never pay that agency type beforehand ensure it will get arranged.
- So grab cash amounts that do work and do get split up! Actually I did not spot no ATMs halfway! Anyway as I was saying, or, very, people seemed happy using the small change more easily here, mostly.
Is the Hot Springs Worth It?
For example the springs proved great but bear this caveat! So the bathing sites may appear not luxurious but that just proves true but never put a damper onto their great sense. Really, I will praise this spot so very, seriously!
Who Is This Trek For?
Alright so, who would love ABC with additional warm dips as part of some 7 day slot? Alright, now:
- Anyway if that will prove to become people having the decent degree with physical fitness which will take joy from hiking trails.
- I mean the ones who have like the attitude when culture feels very high around on peoples list.
- For instance people willing to walk within more intermediate span climbs which lasts only single week plus need somewhat quick end result when weighed as time investment figure as their concern.
