Nordmarka Overnight Camping Review: Hover Tent Experience
So, Nordmarka is, you know, a hugely wooded area just right outside Oslo, Norway. That place’s very well known to people for hiking, for skiing, and even simply getting away to just nature. I very recently had a chance, at least, to try out an overnight camping trip there, but not just any sort of camping. You see, I used a hover tent, which made that entire outing, like, very special. I figure that if you are wondering what that is sort of like, what you might just expect, then just carry on reading, I guess!
What’s the Deal with Hover Tents?
Hover tents are, more or less, these interesting bits of kit that suspend, well, you a little off from the ground. Usually, they are secured to several trees with pretty robust straps, sort of creating a suspended tent atmosphere. That part sounded actually really cool at the start because, that way, it, you know, promises better protection from ground moisture and from creepy crawlies. I have gotta admit I’m that bit of a sucker when that is involved, so I took one with me. Not only that, it kind of offers this one-of-a-kind feel of, well, floating in the middle of wherever you choose to put it, be that right by the forest! That’s that for benefits. Now the next item on our agenda is getting one all ready.
Setting up Camp in Nordmarka
Right, Nordmarka in the evening, yeah? This can often turn really still and calming, and especially really serene. Picking out where to spend your night takes time, that it does. So, first find, kind of, some robust trees that are properly spaced so that you can easily attach all the straps. Anyway, seeing as the ground has to be relatively flat, you too might have to walk a little while to find your space, by the way! With all that, remember how everything that goes in must too, by the way, come back out. We really need to look after these spots we hike and adventure at, and keep them preserved. As a matter of fact, that entire process probably needed a little patience from me, yet once my tent sort of took form, suspended there amongst those trees, then the whole labor was just worth every single bit!
Creature Comforts and Living off the Earth
Of course, camping means that you just might like cooking in places that aren’t kitchens! You, kind of, might. And I actually wanted my trip to be as stripped back as ever. What that meant to me was I was choosing to, well, heat my grub using just, like, a compact little camping stove. By the way, Nordmarka, that place allows campfire at designated spots, and sometimes too you might choose that, I suppose. After eating a meal you cooked by hand right among Norway’s natural backdrop, everything looks utterly more delicious. That’s just how it seems! And it’s too, that you just then might retreat into a tent perched somewhere between, just like, earth and treetops. Really special!
Sounds of the Night and Comfy Tent Feelings
That’s where you can just sort of tell about that, with regards to hovering tents: sleeping turns very surprisingly serene. Usually. As you softly sway to some of nature’s rhythm, off you nod! And it felt kinda safer off ground level too, very far indeed. All the different nocturnal whispers of wildlife, I feel, really are clearer and sound more distinct in nature, like as if somehow that the tent’s position brings some slight amplifying quality with it. Honestly! Make, surely, that you get to equip that tent up, too, with all you require in order to remain snugly for a temp scale that could drop very significantly overnight, you know.
My summary on the Overnighting!
So, should I consider doing that one more time? Absolutely I could! In all likelihood, I’m really recommending that all, who want to find, almost, just a totally unique nature experience, just should check doing a camping getaway in Nordmarka by means of, such as, a hovering tent. Yes indeed, arranging your hanging spot just like that does expect, maybe, more planning at first, yet those different outlooks plus greater sensations you get from having some distance far from land very well can prove just transformative! Now I sure feel more linked with nature more than before!
Key Things To Consider
- Pick an excellent location for a start: Explore beforehand and find level bits of earth among robustly constructed trees.
- Equipment is basically really necessary: be fully sure to bring insulated sleeping things and, yet, wear layers when in there; at night, sometimes stuff could grow decidedly cold outside!
- Treat responsibly that surrounding scene around there: Never forget leaving nothing sitting over at sites you explore to hold on that integrity belonging there!
- Being secure must also still stay with your mind: keep on reporting any movements to all people there in addition just like carrying sets of gear and such only could have to get from danger to keep protected during being nature far at somewhere.
