Niagara Falls Adventure: Helicopter, Boat, & Skylon Review

Thinking about seeing Niagara Falls, eh? Well, if you are like your and you want the whole experience, that is, like every possible angle and a little taste of everything, you may have stumbled upon package deals offering a helicopter ride, a boat tour, and lunch up in the Skylon Tower. But the real question is, are those tours actually any good? Like, worth your hard-earned cash? I get it and the descriptions sound incredible, that is viewing the falls from the sky, feeling the mist on your face, and eating with a spectacular view. So too let’s check out my experience and see if it’s something you might enjoy too, you know?

First Stop: Soaring Above Niagara with a Helicopter Tour

Okay, first things first, let’s talk helicopters. Is that a helicopter tour over Niagara Falls something special? Yeah, that’s an incredible experience and climbing aboard a helicopter is something that you might find a bit intimidating if you are not used to small aircraft. Anyway the chopper whirs to life, then lifting you up to where you see the entire area and things look different from above.

Anyway the view, from up high, really is something you need to see to get, because the Niagara River snakes its way toward the falls, there is that sudden, dramatic drop of water, and it is spectacular. Actually it’s almost as if you’re seeing a moving postcard. You could try spotting the Maid of the Mist boats down below; they’re a tiny little toy moving through all that mist. So too for about ten or fifteen minutes, you’re just circling around, snapping pictures, and trying to drink it all in and it could be over really fast, so just soak it up.

Were there downsides to that ride? Yeah, the rides might depend on weather. It has to be quite clear, that is. And that is understandable, yeah? So it’s almost that, if the skies don’t work with your plans, there is some juggling that might happen and some possible disappointment too. That said the helicopters have big windows, but you’re probably still fighting a bit with reflections for clear shots. The cost too could be a bit much, in some respects, but if that’s something you were planning on, I think you won’t regret doing it!

Up Close and Personal: The Niagara Falls Boat Ride

From high up in the air to practically in the water, going on the boat at Niagara Falls, is it awesome? The boat, sometimes called the Maid of the Mist, takes you right into that mist at the bottom of the falls, so too you get an amazing feel of the strength of nature.

As you approach the falls you’ll start feeling that spray first and before you know it, the boat is covered with people wearing their emergency ponchos (those are provided) and there is that building excitement, because the water pours down all around and roars, actually it roars really, really loud. That’s kind of incredible when you see it and experience it at its fullest! If you get close enough to the Horseshoe Falls, you’ll likely get drenched and completely soaked by the mist – it is just one of those unforgettable things to get that experience of how mighty that waterfall is. It’s kinda interesting.

Anyway that part’s just amazing but just prepare and be okay getting pretty wet; in some respects those cheap ponchos are just so slightly effective! That also means things like your phone are getting very soaked if you don’t shield those away and those boats tend to get quite crowded too and the trip is pretty short, very short. If you’re good with crowds, like your then it might not bother you, that is so long as you have a great time otherwise!

Lunch with a View: The Skylon Tower Experience

Okay so once you are done flying around and sailing into the falls it is time for something civilized, maybe. So that’s when you’ll visit the Skylon Tower for lunch. The Skylon Tower, actually that building provides a view across the falls because there is a rotating restaurant that’s at its top.

Imagine tucking in a meal when the scenery outside that window keeps turning! So you get those different angles and different scenes across the Niagara area during that meal, actually. About the food itself, this could be, maybe something on the simpler side; expect your average type lunch food but prepared fine, I mean, not excellent. Arguably the view’s still really the thing that you are paying for when you go eat there.

I will just mention this. Eating at the Skylon is still really interesting and relaxing when that tour goes like that, for those people that like looking at something while eating, because dining at the Skylon can give an easy experience. If your top priority is the super spectacular food however, like maybe those foods that give food critics something interesting to say, then you should find something that isn’t the Skylon. Instead this works for folks that just want nice views when having a meal and seeing things at Niagara in a relaxed kind of setting instead, you see.

Making the Most of Your Niagara Falls Package

Ok, planning is so important. See that Niagara Falls trip goes more comfortable. Now to make every portion just interesting and easy for you.

Basically find all about these details as you consider what exactly the tour you’ve looked at entails. Tours will vary what all they entail. Basically get those things straight from the very beginning, in some respects you would also know what not expect. This may also have admission ticket costs which may let those savings pay somewhere else for, you might spend more elsewhere, that tour.

Time management might come off pretty great too. Getting some days off in spring break before those summer rushes can give things that aren’t full when you get there and they may take the best advantages. Wear very okay comfortable dress. Wear very good stuff which won’t make something such that the climate effects something much.

Niagara Falls Fun Facts

Here’s one that may catch people when they find those out because I bet you weren’t expecting that from all those trips: Niagara falls aren’t really from those that happen originally to this very same space when those developed. I mean they traveled around because nature affects stuff a ton and the erosions happened too, in other words. They recede!

Also about hydropower Niagara does all it did with just those waters because actually those waters here can get made right at energy when it does stuff well which has its uses such that the region uses lights! So what happens here is also what lights up things, alright!

A crazy cool interesting note is Irene Spelter in 1928 did an interesting interesting task. And no this wasn’t her floating away through a barrel, it would almost happen that after this she did tricks along wire at Niagara in history so this becomes her legend to keep remembering!
