When you get to the ticket booth, alright, that area is typically very busy. Basically, you’re then going to grab your ticket; and that area has lots of other tourists around. So, like, the sounds of different languages mixed with, actually, the rushing water can be a little intense. Still, it’s, you see, kind of exciting, right? Like anticipating a ride.

In the same way, we opted, that, for that 30-minute tour because, you know, we heard it gave you the best chance to get close to that central rock formation. And, as a matter of fact, booking was super simple. Just, pretty much, went to one of the booths right by that falls, picked a time, really, that worked for us. Just a tip; think about, too it’s what time of day works best for light for photos and, alright, that type of thing. Basically, early morning light could be beautiful or, like, a later afternoon thing; you know?

What to Expect Onboard

Boarding that boat, anyway, you can really feel that spray right away! Seating isn’t assigned so you may want to arrive a few minutes early to find a nice spot for yourself and, well, for anyone you are with, clearly. Actually, the boats themselves are, usually, quite sturdy. Very similar to workboats, but definitely tourist boats. Honestly, that crew usually is quite efficient getting everyone on and off and, definitely, will keep people safe.

Basically, right when the boat starts heading, well, right to those falls; wow! The volume, and so too the force of water, they totally amp up! You will get wet and, honestly, like your camera lens might get water on it; so be ready. This tour boat experience, usually, gives great vantage points, but keep in mind you are going to be there with lots of people so you, yet, might be jockeying, too it’s for space to snap some photos.

The Thrill of Approaching the Falls

Getting closer to those falls, right, really is a rush. Seriously, alright, the sheer power; well it is something else. So, alright, you feel, too, the mist on the skin; you can actually hear that roar growing and growing. And actually it fills everything.

That boat trip may also involve dropping people at, usually, that rock that stands right in the middle of things so folks can climb to that top to snap photos. Now, full transparency; we, actually, didn’t hop off for that rock climb because, to be honest, we kinda liked staying on board to see that view from lots of different angles. That said, many people totally love getting up there to, that, middle spot for bragging rights, of course, or for pictures. But basically we felt pretty happy on that boat. Oh, but basically you’ll want to know: that climb can be fairly strenuous so folks, you know, shouldn’t do it unless they are in decent shape and good shoes.

Other Perks: Wörth Castle

You’ll likely find this Rhine Falls Boat Tour will pass very close to that Wörth Castle! Seriously it sits very dramatically upon, arguably, a small island, just as that Rhine river surges by, right past it. Aboard one of those cruise ships folks usually point their phones so as to grab photos. Basically that picturesque site could be, perhaps, just the bit you need when looking at all that raw natural power of those waterfalls!
