Milos Luxury Cruise Review: Kleftiko, Sarakiniko & Poliegos
If you’re planning a trip to Milos, Greece, a boat trip should really be high on your list. I mean, very, very high. Specifically, so too it’s almost that taking a luxury private cruise to Kleftiko, Sarakiniko, and Poliegos really provides an unforgettable way, at least in some respects, to see the island’s incredible beauty. We got to take one just recently, so, really, here’s a thorough, as a matter of fact, review, so to speak, of my experience, arguably to give you a bit of insight to help you decide if it’s a good pick for you, kind of.
What to Expect From a Milos Luxury Private Cruise
First, the boat, right? We got a private catamaran, you know? Actually, so too it’s almost that luxury is definitely the keyword here. I mean, it was super spacious with areas for lounging in the sun and shaded spots too, it’s almost like the planners really thought about everything. There were only six of us on our cruise, even though the boat could certainly accommodate more, I mean this really meant we each had, well, plenty of room to spread out, very. And too it’s almost that, so to speak, it really did add to that sense of exclusivity and relaxation that we wanted from a luxury experience. Like your standard inclusions may or may not vary, it all depends. Usually drinks (think soft drinks, wine, and beer), along with snacks or lunch, very. That food on our trip was seriously delicious, and the crew just couldn’t have been more attentive, now that I think about it, you know? Still, they were always around, arguably, with what I could only describe to you as a smile and they are more than happy, very happy to get our glasses topped up or answer questions, right?
Exploring Kleftiko: The Pirate’s Cove
Kleftiko is a series of rock formations and caves and things that can only be reached by boat, almost, and historically it served as a hideout for pirates. I mean, really? Anyway, when you arrive there it is very easy to understand its appeal; a little like it has striking geology that offers very clear waters ideal for snorkeling, you know? That crew provided us with snorkeling gear and gave a safety briefing too, it’s almost that we explored the caves and swam through rock arches too it’s almost like being surrounded by history, a little, while we were swimming in crystal-clear waters made the experience almost unforgettable, you see. Swimming inside those sea caves, with that light filtering in from above, was absolutely majestic, very majestic. Honestly, you really don’t need to be an expert swimmer because the water is generally really calm here and they are giving out floating devices as standard practice anyway.
Sarakiniko: The Lunar Landscape
Sarakiniko is famous, maybe, because it’s known as the “Moon Beach”. You see, so too it’s almost that its bright white volcanic rock creates this, arguably other-worldly scenery unlike anything I’ve seen before, a bit. And when we sailed to Sarakiniko the contrast of the chalky white rocks against the turquoise sea, seemingly, really took my breath away. A lot of cruises simply view Sarakiniko from offshore because there is no beach, still, if you’re capable and willing, arguably, there is this location you can enter it safely. Very simply, to go in, you carefully get into a dinghy from that boat which transfers you, and then the other half requires scrambling onto rocks to gain entry, you know? That swimming there, I feel, so too it’s almost that feels special too, maybe especially given that uniquely dreamy backdrop, right?
Poliegos: The Island of Goats
Next, Poliegos is the biggest uninhabited island near Milos, just about, and also boasts absolutely stunning waters and secluded beaches, now that I think about it, now. Still, it gets its name, “many goats,” I would suggest from the wild goats that roam freely. Usually our cruise brought us to some seriously incredible swimming spots that include hidden coves and caves which, again, arguably were perfect for exploring. Arguably the water here was probably some of the bluest water I had ever seen and it was just, generally, inviting for a dip. We spent a big portion of time swimming and soaking in that sunshine, basically, as a matter of fact and just unwinding in that tranquility of that secluded island; a great way, actually, just about, to savor your peaceful getaway from a touristy hustle and bustle, you see.
What Makes it Luxury?
The “luxury” element in such cruises wasn’t just because it’s about having a fancy boat. Usually a cruise really goes deeper than that in what I see as several key aspects. Namely privacy, where this number of passengers kept smaller makes that experience less touristy so you might find those crowds a bit overwhelming. Honestly speaking that cruise could accommodate so many people more, but actually only had six of us aboard so you could literally feel what I’d like to suggest is all that additional space and an absence of that overcrowding. Basically, that quality of that crew on top of their dedication really just made that difference here, as I see it anyway. What that luxury element really boiled down to here at that end of that day that I saw here was highly personalized experiences from a luxury perspective, so to speak that made this trip not just great but pretty outstanding too that is worth, by the way, shelling out your money, you see.
Is a Private Cruise Worth The Cost?
Okay, money! So you will know right away, as a matter of fact, that private cruises actually come with a far bigger price tag than those group tours; one factor actually comes down whether benefits outweigh expenditure, right? In other words what you see as the pros. For anyone really considering such expenditure, by and large you’re effectively paying it forward toward very enhanced levels when considering privacy from this common tour or experience in tourist locations alongside tailor made customer focus, just about, meaning attention geared entirely in meeting preferences whilst onboard such chartered private cruise too whilst allowing itinerary modification potential that cannot often occur under regular bookings generally during public tours or other tours.
Tips for Booking Your Milos Cruise
First, you do need to book well ahead especially during peak tourist times that range anytime mainly within summertime due tourists coming to popular islands. As I was saying, ensure that it’s matching all expectation. When it really boils down to it I can only describe as that research element means find something suiting your group most by taking seriously reading as matter face some guest user testimonies prior so to grasp overall ratings including areas where satisfaction meets potential hiccups encountered that will come out clearly by just comparing notes against other guest reviews published earlier on, almost! And obviously always double-check what includes because those things very, very and often just subtly from listing because there could additional expenses involved, very. Finally please ascertain terms surrounding insurance since often, right they don’t just become interchangeable in general as people perceive rather there actually really might arise situation during transit while participating into swimming ventures so have proper paperwork taken just at any instant!
