Right, so picture this: you know, a walk that kinda mixes the charm of Melbourne’s favorite river with a dab of history and art, too it’s almost perfect right? A chill wander alongside the Yarra River that takes you, like your very own self, right to the Abbotsford Convent, could be one seriously rewarding way to experience the city.

So, beginning your walk is actually a pretty easy task. You usually wanna set off from somewhere around Federation Square, very smack bang in the heart of Melbourne. Plus, this stroll comes fully loaded with Instagram-worthy stops, apparently. There’s heaps of places where the light hits just so. Almost creating some, that you just need to capture, is that moments right, actually. Could be under a leafy canopy, so you can admire the calm water reflecting the sunlight, like your, seriously right stuff too, actually. That. Even that an eye-catching bridge you go across.

Anyway, once you actually hit Abbotsford Convent, you are definitely going to see just how massive this spot really is. First thing you notice could be the stunning structures from back in the day that. Tell those tales just so. Basically the whole complex. Now gives you very big insights, that the convent itself was really a home. A workspace, too it’s almost like your little town inside another town.
Anyway. Keep an eye out, it turns out, for the convent’s programmed events. Since they host tons. You can almost catch a bit of art exhibits or musical performances. Abbotsford Convent, in fact, is an incredibly, deeply steeped slice of Victoria’s history. Established way back in 1863, or something close like that. I mean this was a residential institution and, seemingly. Home to the Good Shepherd Sisters who helped, literally, heaps of women. And so on, like children who needed a hand at that specific moment. It was almost running until 1975. Seriously so its one heck of an influential spot given those years it helped others.
Then, take a stroll, arguably, around the gardens and very architecture. This might seriously just. Throw yourself, right. Back in time. There are apparently, so many buildings too. In fact there is art left at every corner and then it almost feels like there is a million untold stories about past occupants there for you right?
Things to See and Do at the Convent
Anyway, Abbotsford Convent isn’t only about the past; like your, right, stuff could easily still keep it interesting even with its tales as well, that right there you know, seriously. There’s actually heaps going on there nowadays. For those into arts there could be a large collection that comes alive right at you to absorb and for someone like you too in fact to grab.
Well, beyond the arts. Instead there are cafes, almost. That are tucked there to grab food from, alright, right there ready when you might fancy it right, instead. Maybe that just take time out and admire the setting there.
