I got the opportunity to chat with local artisans, too it’s almost certain you will have an opportunity, or stop by with locals that shared a few aspects of their culture and beliefs. These moments made it feel very real and also deepened my admiration for this interesting part of Vietnam.

Is a Mekong Delta Day Trip Worth It?

So, is a Mekong Delta day trip really worth your time? Well, that’s just my opinion, of course, and it kind of depends on what you want to experience! If you’re eager to escape city happenings and have an interest in seeing Vietnamese culture, is that right for you? Well, then my personal response is a resounding “yes”. A day trip gave me a glance into this whole other area, that’s far, far away from modern living.

Still, it’s also very important to be mindful of your expectations. Day trips are brief visits. As such, you shouldn’t consider it’ll provide an immersive knowledge. But it can be, you know, a really great overview of what the Delta’s all about, that’s for sure!
