Setenil de las Bodegas: Living Under the Rocks
After a look into Ronda, heading for Setenil makes for a big switch from bridges and buildings, you see? Imagine a village whose constructions, sort of, get all nestled underneath big rocks. The structures basically get inside the rock itself! Walk, take some pictures and buy an item or two if you fancy them; if you love cool places, well, Setenil becomes a thing you might want to suggest to other people. And so that day is worthwhile!

Go to the Puente Nuevo without doing much else. Then, see whatever is around you before lunch. At around 1:30 PM try to get something to eat, or so. Consider that any pause might increase the amount of time needed for each part of the visit!
By around 3 PM travel your way to Setenil, and maybe reach Setenil an hour later. Walk to basically all parts, appreciate, purchase, and eat for an hour and a half or two. Food Options: Where to Eat
Actually, in Ronda, I suggest looking at places that give you fantastic views with your meal, honestly. There are many spots that offer Andalusian foods plus views! Trying, for example, Rabo de Toro (Oxtail stew) becomes something cool when dining in Ronda, or so they say. Of course, ordering tapas everywhere becomes pretty common if you want to eat, too. Potential Downsides
Okay, so the day trip won’t always turn out great; it can get kinda exhausting, specifically driving to and fro between different places. Plus, in those super popular tourist spots, you should prepare for a crowd, honestly. And let us be honest, you are bound to miss several small things, little details, just by trying to cram both places into one day.
The biggest issue can also be that you’re really only getting just a shallow look at things. It’s actually like tasting a bunch of appetizers, but missing the awesome main dish that comes with slowing down and being able to experience fully. If a short visit will do, there’s no problem. When wanting to admire with all of yourself, well, you know…
Overall, you can certainly get overwhelmed, too! Make your day plan easy to change to match your energy or the events around!
