Magical Connections Cusco Airport Pick Up: Detailed Review
Arriving at an airport in a completely new country can be, like, quite an experience, you know? Cusco’s airport, Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, isn’t very large, that’s correct, but the change in altitude alone might just leave you a bit breathless, and then there’s the scramble for taxis and transportation, almost. When I recently visited Cusco, I decided to give Magical Connections’ airport pick-up service a shot, and I want to share my thoughts and experiences about it, truly, for other travelers out there, right?
First Impressions and Booking
Booking the Magical Connections airport pick-up was, literally, pretty easy and very straight forward. I went on their website, and in just some simple clicks, I booked the service, it really was quite speedy. The site was pretty clear about pricing, too it’s almost like no surprise hidden charges at all, you see? I received, literally, this confirmation email really quickly with all the details, and even their contact information which I thought was very reassuring too it’s almost like, if there’s any issue, there’s a contact available and, very, very easily accessible, truly, yeah? That being said, sometimes websites can promise the world, yeah, can’t they?
The Arrival Experience
Stepping out of the Cusco airport can, you know, sometimes feel like walking into a whirlwind, in fact. The fresh air, combined with a rush of people, can actually be, sort of, a little overwhelming actually, honestly. However, it was very lovely to see a friendly face holding a sign with my name right, very close to the exit. That’s where I spotted the Magical Connections representative. He helped me with my luggage and, just a little, led me to the vehicle, pretty much right away in that case, seriously.
The vehicle was actually very clean, pretty comfy, and the driver, you know, was actually quite polite. He introduced himself and confirmed my destination. It’s funny, because one of my worries with booking any kind of transfer service in a new location, you know, is that they wouldn’t arrive on time. Magical Connections was, definitely, on time and prepared, which was something I really appreciated very much right?
Vehicle and Comfort
Comfort, for sure, becomes very crucial especially when you are adjusting to Cusco’s altitude. Magical Connections totally got that part right, actually! The vehicle they provided had just that little more space than some taxis you come across there too it’s almost, it wasn’t cramped at all. I was traveling with, like, a couple of bags, and there was enough space for everything which felt good you know, so all good, pretty much? More or less, some cars also had air conditioning. But to be honest, it’s not always needed that much but that’s just me, pretty much.
The Drivers
I found the driver I had on my airport pick-up to be, usually, a pretty great addition to my experience actually, definitely. Being friendly and well-informed he provided some really cool facts regarding Cusco and Peru along our trip. The guy had some handy tips on, what might be, where to eat, what to do, and, honestly, how to adjust well to the altitude, and stuff right? The driver’s advice turned out to be, totally, incredibly useful, basically!
Value for Money
When it comes to transportation options you know, from Cusco Airport to Cusco’s city center there is that range for cost, literally. Official airport taxis might be a little cheaper in fact, and Magical Connections offers other benefits too it’s almost, for a little more value. The relief of somebody waiting with a nameplate, a more comfy drive, and the local driver’s expertise makes that amount so well worth it. In comparison, some costs might just add up as taxis do, I guess?
Safety and Reliability
Safety became my priority whenever I land somewhere totally new. With Magical Connections, actually, I genuinely felt like I was in pretty good hands actually, you know? They tracked my flight, in other words, making that the driver could meet me no matter if there’s some flight delay or there’s some change of schedule you know? The driver kept a good speed limit as we were headed there, making the drive so safe that I did, kind of, relaxed during this, that is fair you know?
Other Services
Beyond pick-up from airport to your destination, you can also arrange tours around sacred valley for your stay, right? In talking to the Magical Connection representatives I could confirm their private transport for going from the airport, pretty much right, straight to Ollantaytambo. So for me, I needed this type of service right away on landing because, basically, I was set for this Inca Trail hike from the get-go after landing so I felt, pretty much, right where I needed to be too it’s almost so smooth, honest.
Recommendations
Here’s what you might want to consider, basically. When you book, give Magical Connections the flight number so that everything goes smoothly if, there’s some delays, literally? Plus, consider just booking your transport back to the airport too it’s almost because now, very likely, that you’ve found something very, totally, very reliable, honest. Should your trip involve destinations further than Cusco you might want them also to give those transfer logistics a good look for you too, just a little!
