London Tour Review: Buckingham, Big Ben & Westminster

So, you are thinking of hitting some big landmarks, maybe like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey, is that right? That’s pretty standard for a first trip, to be honest. Getting around those big London sites in a single swoop can seem a bit, you know, much, actually. What if I give you the lowdown from a personal trip, too? So, in some respects, if you aim to be there quite a bit early, you should bag a good spot to see over the crowd.

Seeing the Palace itself gives a sense of history, anyway, a place where so much happened and the monarchy call home. During parts of the year, maybe, you can stroll inside to explore some State Rooms, too. But honestly, even just catching it from the gates has you feel like part of, you know, it’s almost that iconic thing to do in the City.

Glimpse of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament

Now, getting over to Big Ben, that is something you need to time, too. It is that landmark that screams ‘London,’ you know? Actually, walk along the Thames to see it – honestly, it makes for quite a good view. I mean, it’s almost that Insta-perfect picture, right? Sadly, when I went, it was covered for cleaning, yet you could still sense the size of it all. So, keep in mind there might be repair work being done at times; something you will maybe need to keep tabs on.

In that case, right near Big Ben is Parliament. Now, for a deep, deep insight, taking the tour can explain how our country operates and the traditions held there. Usually, anyway, tours run regularly, offering different points to understand the legislative stuff. Also, seeing where choices were made and debates ran makes you think about how societies alter – seemingly you see what’s impacted over the passing of time, I guess.

Westminster Abbey Visit

In fact, walking through Westminster Abbey is moving, maybe. This location has such depth, apparently. Almost every UK monarch has been capped here, seemingly, many are buried. In there, you feel that past; such power is very present here, so to say. It is not just that religious place; arguably it showcases Britain. Poets’ Corner celebrates literature, or sciences receive thanks – maybe walking past memorials will remind anyone about culture or brains. You see, allow a good handful of hours to visit, okay?

Now, I did the audio tour. It is like having the Abbey’s history drop to you as you look. From the Coronation Chair to some of the detailed stained glass windows, every part told stories, apparently. In a way, it gave layers, too, over and over the years that have passed, right?

Making the Most of Your Tour: Some Recommendations

• Charge to Power! Keep phone juiced at all given moments! You need it operating fully because using navigation around locales when in doubt. Then snaps become instantly shareable at a moment’s notice which always enhances the thrills involved there, right?
• Snacks? Take with you, okay? Budget food at some sights, maybe that hits heavy there, you see. Pack items like granola and juices and save much for memories later here.

Taking in Buckingham Palace, gazing at Big Ben and experiencing Westminster Abbey packs, definitely, lots within only one single outing that then reminds an individual of its worth, definitely.
