Kyoto Sushi Workshop: A Fun Review
So, you know, I just had to try the Kyoto Small Group Authentic Sushi Making Workshop and I felt like writing this thing. I have a liking for Japanese dishes, sushi especially, too it’s almost an obsession! A couple of things about that workshop got me excited, basically; being small-sized sounded wonderful due to a more intimate experience. What also attracted me was the “authentic” label which meant it probably sticks to traditions instead of westernizing every darn thing! You will like how quick and simple it really is to get there. You find the place right after taking some steps from the station so in some respects it’s rather handy to reach. Very cool plus! Stepping into the classroom is something I really remember – clean and filled with nice, faint aromas. It doesn’t only smell clean but welcoming which is always nice. First few minutes had some friendly chatter before getting straight, more or less, with guidance provided on making different sushis! I think this portion created that enthusiasm within everybody that then turned the whole atmosphere to joyful.
The Sushi-Making Experience
They start teaching you by the different sorts, actually from simple kinds like Nigiri or Maki, before going more, well slightly, advanced. Don’t be afraid that you don’t know some weird things; directions aren’t only, very, thorough, rather patient when teaching each person! Ingredients? Top quality! Fish seemed fresh that I tasted nothing fishy; greens? Really crisp instead when mushy, and rice with lovely and great texture so. Everybody at different stage seemed very proud, yet so excited as new masterpiece happens every minute that the chefs can’t praise it enough.
