Thinking about seeing old Kyoto? That’s a very cool idea. Geisha or Maiko Dinner: Main Event, Perhaps

Here we get to what I feel is quite a highlight, this part that makes the tour stand out from very many simple walks. You’re gonna get dinner with an actual geisha or maiko. It looks very unique. At these meals, small shows happen, and conversations, or that is what everyone hopes for. However, there are few things I need to just chat about. Is that Geisha meeting the experience it should be?

First, if it says “maiko or geisha,” then possibly expect a maiko. They tend to be easier to book. The food could also be anything from a set fancy traditional dinner to just sort of okay meals, that you get too. Plus, talking could be hard because the geishas mightn’t actually be fluent in any other languages. Plus, with other tourists there it tends to make everything less personal. The stories often told said people enjoyed just seeing the maiko/geisha doing dances. Yet, not very many truly felt as if they made a genuine connection, as I’m sure you would prefer too. Keep expectations in line. In short, I’d want you to understand, and what I want you to prepare for. Even if it does not exactly blow you away, its still probably something unique.

The Good Parts; What Makes it Kind of Special

So, let’s talk more about what folks liked. Gion is, too, one super pretty area. Those streets from a long, long while ago, plus those wooden houses, really just help anyone imagine what Japan used to look like centuries and centuries before today, or in the olden times. Now, having someone show it to you, so that they know things that are unwritten, could change seeing Gion from it being pretty to being, actually, incredible, maybe?

If you have a great guide, that would change everything completely, even maybe making you feel things from the time. About supper with the geisha, just that one-of-a-kind quality means some remember it as a must do. Knowing supper with maiko/geisha happens like very, very few other places, it seems, adds to its appeal. That and hearing those untold tales? Seeing performances personally? Then getting a picture? All unique points. Just consider everything carefully.

Where it Isn’t Perfect; Potential Headaches Maybe

Alright, I might, need, too, tell you what folks whined a tiny bit about. The price sometimes comes up; doing this tour costs rather a lot. Some said they believed, that, what the dinner cost, more or less, didn’t feel right for just how good the supper actually seemed. And so those “private” trips? Yes. Sometimes they were not quite as special, or as exclusive as one wanted, or that someone may have felt. So if someone else, too, thought supper got in way of a long conversation, I felt this really hit things on the mark too.

Confirm, so very, very closely, and make sure you know what will almost definitely happen with both parts, so then, those parts could both just really shine a whole heap.

• Confirm the Geisha situation: Does doing the supper actually have like geishas, or maiko, so this doesn’t turn to being a bit less, and in that case make sense to think is this price actually ok with that included.
• Ask heaps more, tons more, more and even a bit more about Guides: That trip part is like 100% just all up to just how insightful your guide is. Enquire; so that way everyone involved knows the right things, almost. What, exactly, are they super super knowledgeable on.
• Consider if other similar alternatives that align work. Not actually certain this tour is best ever value just? Find something similar! Does it have everything the right way, and nothing is sort of blah to you.
• Manage those anticipations a tiny little: Yeah this thing might blow away others memories and seem truly perfect in the most ideal form! Don’t. Doing so probably makes things better as you move in!
