Kigali Zip Line: Thrilling Experience on Mount Kigali (Review)

Alright, so you’re thinking of adding a little, like, zip to your Kigali trip? Maybe the Kigali Zip Line on Mount Kigali should be something you think about! I mean, it’s not every day you get to zoom across a lush landscape with the sort of breeze whipping through your hair, is it? I wanted to see what all the chatter was all about, so I tried this place. This is the story of how it happened, and what I learned.

Getting to Mount Kigali: Almost There

Mount Kigali Road

Ok, first things first: actually reaching Mount Kigali. The starting point for your zip line thing could be a little bit outside of the city center, you know? I ended up grabbing a moto-taxi, which was an event all of its own, really, weaving through Kigali’s streets. Very much feel free to grab a cab, if that seems more up your alley, that makes total sense too! The ride itself, anyway, it’s like a mini tour because you catch little bits of the everyday buzz. What I’m talking about is shops, houses and maybe even goats. Once I got there, like, the views started to show up even before I geared up. This place is high up, so you can already get the idea of what’s coming.

Gearing Up: A Little Nervous, Very Excited

Zip Line Gear

Alright, getting geared up could be a slightly strange moment, but is so important. I was given, like, a helmet, a harness, the whole deal, right? The crew there, they walked me through all of it. These people are almost super cool, and that is what made me feel better. I mean, even though I have to tell you, zipping way up above stuff was a little bit scary. Anyway, I guess that sort of is what I signed up for, really. So then, with all the safety stuff done right, it was pretty much time to climb up to the start. Each step made the whole thing seem closer.

The Zip Line Experience: Whoa, That’s Wild

Zip Lining Kigali

I mean, so when you’re hanging there and the only thing separating you and air below is this cable? Talk about a rush, right? The initial push is sort of a thrill, I have to say. And the land goes away below and you see Mount Kigali open right under you. Pretty great, to say the least. Zipping along gives a kind of, like, bird’s eye thing above Rwanda’s green hills. As I was saying, what makes it special is you get to move as quickly as a bird as well as get quiet spaces to kind of think over your life! It isn’t simply thrill-seeking. No, what is actually happening is that that thrill has all this beauty mixing in.

View from Above: More Than Just Thrills, I’m Telling You

Mount Kigali View

Now, let’s stop and notice the views that show up. Mount Kigali gives so much more of an inside look at Rwanda than only tourist hot spots will show you. As I said, the rolling hills spread all the way, and you can look down at little villages way down there. You know what happened? I started to kind of get this feel of just how massive this place actually is, but just how very busy too. That view might be a bit what you’re thinking about long later when you get back home too. In a way, the view made this memory stay stuck in my mind in an alright way. After the zip part is over, so you might actually see a bunch of neat spots nearby.

Making the Most of Your Trip: What Can You do Beside Zip Lining?

Mount Kigali Hiking

I’m telling you, just zipping down might not be every thing on the mountain. So if you are thinking of sticking around Mount Kigali for more? Very cool way to do it. I found some alright spots for climbing and these spots let me sort of soak the scenery. There are many spots around here to find local cooking that should give your taste buds what they desire. You’ll want to talk to the zip lining people; maybe they can point out some not often traveled local spots to find more excitement around there.

Some Stuff to Know if You Are Going: Pro Tips From Yours Truly

Kigali Weather

Ok, here is some smart stuff I figured you would enjoy if you go yourself, or maybe somebody wants to hear it. What they could do to be smart is be careful of Rwanda’s weather because that has huge effects of the ride. If you pick a sunny day the scene might explode your mind. Anyway the clothing you are picking that day might matter and closed shoes makes good vibes when you go outdoors like that. Try bringing cash just in case to buy local junk. Make sure your spot is booked, just saying; that way is one less head ache when getting there. So that is my lecture, guys. Use your thinking brain and think hard about what I mentioned, if you wanna. Very worth your while to think deeply on it.

Kigali Zip Line: In Conclusion
