Actually, the views are as incredible as everyone claims, even though weather conditions can affect them (visibility wasn’t that great for us). I mean, the flexibility a private tour offers, such as pick-up from your hotel and an altered schedule, is useful, particularly with little kids in tow. That being said, it comes at a steep price. So often you are paying a premium for that personalized experience. Another factor to consider is the altitude, I mean, very few escape some mild effects, very just a light headache. The place does tend to get pretty crowded, even outside of peak season, so often a sense of serene solitude in the mountains is tricky to find.
