Actually, this little adventure packs a whole heap of picturesque views, quaint vibes, and a peek into the area’s culture and history, pretty much all rolled into one trip.

This is how you see these places that practically defy gravity, like honestly defying gravity. First, you have to walk into it through a very tunnel that is carved into a solid rock; which honestly leads you to the heart of the hamlet. Very small but so big in its, like, wow factor, Guadalest offers those views looking down onto a shimmering reservoir which kind of looks like it’s directly from a picture postcard.
Something to see, arguably for starters, is the Castell de San José, that sits just atop a peak. So it’s not like there’s any giant climb to the top (you know, in some cases that’s not for everybody, which I totally get!), just ambling round is actually enough. What’s also something pretty important? The Bell Tower, it’s just a spot which gives a crazy scenic outlook and is almost certainly an insta-must. You have the choice to amble around streets very slender and discover quaint little shops that vend everything like artisanal crafts through to some local liqueur that is honestly only ever found round there. Moving from one hill village onto yet another that is honestly pretty but you know with an alternative twist… Here, actually, we get Altea; honestly, that gleaming gem on the Costa Blanca with just that cool, almost hippy vibe that is fairly striking as you begin walking around it. This one has such whitewashed walls along with that striking, and what is known as blue-domed church dominating the skyline that offers any seriously attractive setting that honestly yells “Mediterranean”. The old town of Altea, actually just invite ambling through the lanes almost with that artsy gallery right through to shops where people who do jewellery sort of chill. All round such spots really are calling those, wanting such special souvenirs, too it’s almost a place.
Like, La Mare de Déu del Consol actually has this awesome church up high where it almost overlooks what must be Altea.
