Oh yes, not just what was on some plaque, basically he was describing everything surrounding the fountains, like, what all the different areas originally were used for, and, like, seriously bringing everything to life. Anyway, it really got you, basically picturing the kings as they were, walking these, like, very same spaces, actually, as us.

Alright, can’t really check out Granada right without treating yourself to a couple tapas, or, very much a whole spread? Clearly, our local expert took us off the normal, very beaten path of restaurants filled up with a bunch of tourists to reach small, basically family-run spots where a bunch of local folks enjoy relaxing with tasty bites. More or less, it wasn’t just what we ate, right, but a bunch of stories around those plates. Very fascinating! By the way, he helped all of us pick some authentic dishes, too, that’s right, he also walked all of us through, sort of, how each was put together and a bit, maybe, about where each one originated. The thing that’s great, just a little, it felt like a super personal tasty moment in Granada’s very tasty daily life.

Beyond the Sights: Feeling the Granada Vibe

So, look, what stood out super clearly was how, in some respects, the guide connected different little parts together so you got a super big, amazing picture of just how much of a melting pot Granada actually has been, is that even the right description? He would, like, show how Granada has, maybe, layers of culture from way different times all piled on top of each other. It could be seeing old Arabic writing mixing right in with how current people are, like, carrying themselves these days, alright? Also, you see it how Flamenco just appears at any odd little place. I am telling you that those aren’t just parts of some stage presentation. They can almost, just, come to life when people are plainly feeling something, that’s true, a little bit from deep within. I feel like he could put all of that into an awesome form so someone visiting for the first time, right, would begin actually feeling Granada instead of just sightseeing a bit, but that’s very important, alright?

What Could Be Better: Some Food for Thought

To be honest, there’s just not really anything, really, seriously to whine over from that tour! At the end of the day, if you pushed me really really to pick one or two things I personally would tweak, yeah, there are one or two things. One, maybe that, like, for someone very, extremely interested in a certain aspect from Granada, for example maybe that means Moorish influence perhaps, that a choice of even more specialized dives into, actually, just that topic would totally rock, actually! Number two would be maybe making sure the loudness of a group versus what can comfortably fit easily in tiny little spots becomes assessed better? As a matter of fact, with larger sets, things will perhaps become, okay just a bit too, you know, squeezed-feeling if trying checking things up intimately closely together with those, honestly, very super interesting things we want looking closer.
