It’s almost ambitious, is that not so? I’m talking mineral springs, thousand-year history, cave cities – the whole shebang. That’s exactly the thought process I had before taking the “From Tbilisi: Borjomi, Rabati Castle and Vardzia Day Tour.” Now, very, very, these kind of tours promise a lot, and sometimes, it feels, they slightly come up short, does it not? First Stop: The Refreshing Borjomi Mineral Water Park

So first things first, after a couple hours of driving from Tbilisi, we rocked up in Borjomi, yeah, and this spot is supposed to be famous for its mineral water. You know, the kind your grandma swears by, alright? But seriously, the park itself is kinda picturesque, almost giving off a nice, calming vibe. We wandered around a little bit, and like your able to taste the infamous Borjomi water straight from the source. Now, and stuff, I’m gonna be honest, the water’s rather got a pretty specific taste – very metallic and quite sulfuric, might be kinda off-putting at first. Very, very, yet hey, when in Borjomi, you have too give it a whirl, am I right?

Then, there’s this cable car ride you could be able to take to get, in a way, views from up above. That is to say, views of the valley are definitely solid and stuff, mostly worth it, particularly if you’re all about those Instagram snaps. You might be able to spend a good hour or two strolling around the park and, as a matter of fact, just soaking it all in, clearly taking pictures of the architecture.

Rabati Castle: A Crossroads of Cultures

Alright, so next up was Rabati Castle, and as I was saying, this place is seriously something else, isn’t it? A bit different, very, very. The architecture really displays influences from all over the shop, seemingly Turkish, Georgian, a bit of Armenian – you name it, it seems, and their reflected on the design. What’s pretty neat about Rabati is really how well the whole spot’s maintained, and also how it’s divided up. Very, very, there’s, in other words, a Turkish bath, then in some respects, there is a church. It feels virtually as if you’re walking through many layers of history, does it not?

Basically, you know, the views from the castle walls, especially at the end of the day, you’ve kinda got to experience. Okay, so in that case you do, you’ll probably capture killer photos. We actually went inside this museum in there, and also that really gave an added bit of, almost depth to what we saw. We ended up spending close to 2 hours here, too, yet honestly? Not very long. If you like actually dive a bit deeper into the history of things, alright, so clearly plan for longer.

Vardzia Cave City: A Clifftop Wonder

Basically, Vardzia. Honestly, the showstopper. Okay, so in that case you saw photos, I mean, just pictures never actually do it justice. So that’s the part where you actually believe it exists or something? Like wow… You are staring directly at a whole dang city, alright carved straight into the Erusheti Mountain. Pretty sweet view in that respect, if that sounds ok?

As a matter of fact the drive to Vardzia might be a bit long, alright maybe three to four hours from Rabati. So I won’t lie to you… Though that said… Even though, clearly it flies by. I would add too it’s seriously very epic seeing what humans are actually able to create by hand all those years ago. Anyway, getting the idea yet?

But now, I feel as if some planning is key. As a matter of fact, if your a traveler you are going to want to walk. That said.. Anyway it’s all rocky. Okay, so in that case make sure you wear proper sneakers of sorts for this trip! In that case then there’s these cool little tunnels. Okay, so in that case be sure to bring along a small flashlight or headlamp to assist if you go that way.. Though honestly, basically you kinda want to keep your hand railing ready because there isn’t all that much sunlight available, anyway! Even though as a matter of fact the tour lasts like about 2 hrs… Pretty much honestly you will actually never want it to end.

The Guide and the Group Dynamic

Okay, so the tour company clearly uses experienced local guides, might be, who seem to know the area extremely extremely pretty, nearly thoroughly alright pretty well. The truth is that I learned basically such quite significantly many, in some respects, pretty good facts about the places. Such pretty significant facts! The guides clearly really know how to connect. Such cool and interesting historical facts, you realize yet! What could be said… Alright. Alright, so in this regard you may want to bring grub or snacks on something similar to this tour, alright. So for example, okay so that’s great. Also though alright a great place you might go and travel… Okay so I hope you can purchase it. So for example, food is definitely a choice alright to eat some things.
