From Sliema: Private Comino & Gozo Boat Charter Review
So, you are dreaming about crystalline waters and sun-soaked escapades? Very well, Malta’s Comino and Gozo, two awesome little islands, just might be calling your name! As a matter of fact, skipping the crazy packed tourist boats, I chose a private charter from Sliema with high hopes, to soak in these gems at my pace. Basically, what follows is my own, very real lowdown, complete with gasps of amazement, that happened throughout my adventure.
Setting Sail from Sliema: The Beginning of my Seafaring Day
The setting off location? Well, Sliema is quite something, isn’t it? In fact, the promenade was lively, with the buzz of people preparing for the day. At any rate, finding the boat was dead easy, too. It was almost like something from a brochure – glistening white, bobbing gently, that! You know, the crew gave me a seriously warm welcome, which just soothed any jitters. It’s almost as if they wanted us to feel like friends right off the bat. Honestly, setting out onto the water, well it gave me goosebumps. Just amazing!
Comino’s Blue Lagoon: Postcard Perfect or Seriously Overhyped?
Oh, The Blue Lagoon. Of course, the photographs just don’t lie, really, you understand? Truthfully, the water actually looks that unreal shade of blue. Seriously clear, right? You can even watch all kinds of little fishies. Arguably, that’s why everyone visits Comino! Even though a few other boats got there pretty early, having our very own boat made a significant difference, really. We got to just chill and drop anchor a little bit farther out, too. Instead of fighting for a spot of sand, we just dove right into the sea straight from the boat! Basically, that was amazing. Sure, in some respects it does become packed later, however, the ease of having your own private spot truly allowed for a way better experience, or I should say a super enjoyable encounter with this very popular pool.
Gozo’s Charm: Beyond the Beaten Path with a Personal Touch
Gozo felt so different than Comino, honestly. Arguably more serene, very? It actually had this relaxed, very welcoming aura that made me want to hang out forever. Because the charter was private, it let us decide what we really wanted to see and do, sort of thing. The crew gave super recommendations! They said that a hidden cove was not too far away that was really peaceful, too it’s almost like a local secret! That, and some really awesome views? You see, this freedom gave us an opportunity to have a more genuine encounter, you know, as against simply following a usual tourist route.
The Boat Itself: Home on the Water
Oh, the boat was amazing! Super clean and spacious! Honestly, sunbathing up on the deck with the water going by underneath felt ridiculously luxurious! I am saying the sun felt good, there were beverages and nibbles, like your dream day, really. Because the group size was small, there was like so much room to stretch out. Really, it felt less like a boat and like your own floating hideaway, honestly!
Food and Drink: Sustaining the Adventure
Oh, snacks. I feel like they were vital, definitely! Being out in the sun and salt water just brings out some big hungers. Or thirsts! They, the company, made certain we had great options to keep us filled, and pleased! Cold drinks during mid-day heat are the greatest feeling you’ll experience that day. Or ever, basically.
The Crew: So Much More Than Just Sailors
Alright, these guys completely changed the game. You understand? They, that crew, weren’t simply piloting the boat. You know, it’s almost like they really had some stake into seeing that we had a super time. Frankly, they dropped awesome suggestions, and told us some things only people who grew up on the island could know, really. They watched to see when we wanted beverages, honestly! So helpful. A great addition to your charter is their dedication to guest’s enjoyment, you know, that!
Privacy Matters: Crowds or Serenity?
It all becomes a case about tranquility versus tourism, you’re with me? A common tour can get you to the primary spots, yes. Now, that has a cost: people, lines, you see it, yeah? Seriously. I really felt like having a personal boat paid its cost just based off the privacy that resulted. That said, it actually made a difference in how I managed to enjoy what Comino, too it’s almost the isle of Gozo, offers!
Making the Most of Your Charter: Pro Tips and Recommendations
Okay, learn from yours truly! So, book ahead of schedule, primarily if visiting at top times, you know. Take your sunblock very seriously. Grab a super hat, also. That sunlight? Serious. Check with the company about what you should bring. In fact, plan out, sort of thing, those sites that fascinate you specifically. Talking about that to your crew ahead will likely get the experience totally exceptional! They want to please.
