As a matter of fact, you know, I certainly enjoyed taking my time.

The Royal Mile

Alistair, next, drove us along the Royal Mile. The location has lots of stories about days of old and pretty buildings. You may have read that already, too. With every turn, there’s another interesting sight, that is true, from little shops to grand places that hold Scotland’s past. I took walks down some little roads to discover cute stores selling hand-made products. When I stopped at a place making fudge, I sort of just watched them pull and cut it – so cool!

Holyrood Palace and Arthur’s Seat

Later, Alistair drove us by Holyrood Palace. By the way, it is Queen Elizabeth’s formal house in Scotland, isn’t it? And next we were off to see Arthur’s Seat, this tall hill in Holyrood Park. People might tell you the walk to the top could be hard. Anyway, even if we did not climb all the way to the top, just driving through the park has such lovely views of Edinburgh. They tend to stretch forever.
