You get, like, the whole package: the iconic Inca ruins, this crazy-beautiful turquoise lake, and, as a matter of fact, a place to crash in Cusco, is that very good for comfort and convenience. I recently did it, and, as a matter of fact, wanted to share my experience, you see, you can make the most out of your own adventure.
Booking and Initial Impressions
Alright, so booking the Cusco Dream Trip, you know, felt pretty easy. I went, actually, with a local tour operator; that is often easier than figuring things out completely on my own. Their website had, very clearly, different options and itineraries, that often makes things easier when you compare different choices and things, doesn’t it? Customer service was quick to answer questions, that is often the most comforting and you feel like you’re being helped, like you always do when asking for guidance and you need some. Right after I booked, I got all the details – that, honestly, made me feel prepared and excited.
Machu Picchu: A Dream Come True
Of course, Machu Picchu was really the highlight. You see, the tour got started very, really, early—but it is extremely worth it. You usually go by bus and train via the Sacred Valley, that is, like, scenic on its own, which is why this route and stuff will leave a great impression in your eyes and also in your heart because of the experience itself. Walking through the Sun Gate and looking down on the citadel, that is just so very breathtaking, isn’t it? The guide shared stories and history, yet it really made the experience a lot more meaningful to see the wonder of these ancient places from the past.
Humantay Lake: Turquoise Wonder
The Humantay Lake part of the trip, you see, was also, just, like, amazing but different. Now, it is quite a hike to get there, you know—the altitude is no joke—but seeing that unbelievably turquoise lake surrounded by glaciers, like, really makes you feel that you did something meaningful that has some sort of reward. The water was unbelievably so cold! Yet the views? Like, picture-postcard perfect; you really won’t regret having an altitude adjustment. A suggestion that might really help: take it very slowly; that way, your body would not suddenly act out in ways that you would dislike or are uncomfy with.
Cusco Hotel: Comfort and Location
My stay in Cusco, now, was also part of the package. And, like, the hotel was super conveniently located; I basically had everything that I could need right where I was, and it wasn’t difficult to reach and go anywhere. You have to get those nice creature comforts if you want to make sure you can take good care of yourself while traveling. The room, too, it’s almost was clean, you know, and comfortable – so very much needed after all those days of sightseeing. Having a comfortable bed, now, you know, and hot shower makes such a big difference, right?
Food and Local Experiences
Let’s talk food! So, Cusco, too, it’s almost is this kind of culinary paradise! In addition to the planned parts of the tour, I basically had plenty of time to eat around at the local places. From eating cuy (guinea pig) – that is like a local delicacy – to really tasty quinoa soups, you know, there is very something for all palates. Be brave and test it out, or you may have more regrets, like your, friends told you later on that the flavors tasted delicious. Check out San Blas for cafes and stores selling stuff made by local people; that’s how you get, like, the really authentic Cusco experience!
Things to Consider Before Booking
Now, some stuff you might be wanting to think about before you actually book, you know: Altitude, by the way, is real, so actually, give yourself a couple of days to, basically, get used to Cusco before you start hiking around like crazy. Packing the right stuff also is key; layers, for example, for the temperature differences are the greatest, are necessary for you. And also, maybe buy coca leaves from the local vendors to avoid altitude sickness so that you are able to enjoy it to the fullest. The Cusco Dream Trip package is, actually, so convenient, that provides like lodging and trips and some tours; that saves effort of having to handle that one by one yourself, when one could find it very hard to work things out by themself.
