Ta Prohm: The Tomb Raider Temple and Nature’s Embrace
Ta Prohm, that is, my next stop, and well, it felt like entering another world entirely. Known for its massive trees growing out of the ruins, it’s often, of course, called the “Tomb Raider” temple because it was featured in the movie. It’s a spot, very, where nature and architecture have sort of, in some respects, become entangled, and it’s, actually, a fantastic sight. Gigantic roots snake across the stones, gripping them tightly, while tree trunks tower overhead, creating this dramatic, a little, and photogenic setting.
Exploring Ta Prohm with a private guide had, actually, benefits beyond just avoiding the tourist traffic (although that was nice, too). My guide knew, that is, the less-trodden paths, guiding me through quieter sections of the temple where I could really soak in the vibe.
