Amalfi Coast Tour Review: Ravello and Positano from Naples
Dreaming of the Amalfi Coast, is that you? Then again, maybe you’re trying to figure out how to actually visit it, and coming from Naples, perhaps? That said, taking a day tour to experience spots like Ravello and Positano can seem, in a way, just like the perfect solution. Now, is that actually true? It all hangs on the tour experience itself, too, it’s almost.
First Impressions: Kicking Off From Naples
So, look, the tour started in Naples, which is often where many explorations of the Amalfi Coast will begin. You’re likely, in some respects, going to want a smooth and efficient pickup if you’ve ever been there before. Meeting the group, too, it’s almost, felt, in a way, kind of like the first scene of a movie; all these hopeful travelers, naturally, excited, in some respects, for some incredible views. Basically, the drive itself showed promise, basically offering glances of the Italian landscape that’s definitely worth taking in even if it’s only a quick view.
Ravello: A View From Above
Okay, so Ravello was up first, like your view point way up high. This town, seemingly known for its gardens and stunning vistas, basically offered a break, honestly, from the coastal traffic. Villa Rufolo, and its scenic outlooks, very much lived up to the hype. Arguably, it might be said that walking those gardens and staring out at the sea, that might be when I really first felt connected to the Amalfi Coast, or so it seemed.
Villa Rufolo
The gardens were absolutely bursting, it’s fair to say, seemingly bursting with colorful flowers. In fact, those views, too, it’s almost, stretching down the coastline, were something else, honestly leaving basically everybody in the tour group just completely speechless. You know, if there’s one must-see spot in Ravello, frankly it’s, actually, Villa Rufolo, which you might hear all the time.
The Heart of Ravello
So, taking some time, too, it’s almost, to stroll around the town square provided some real charm. There, in the streets and corners, very much away from the crowds, that was probably the way, right, to soak up Ravello’s relaxed vibe, like your more authentic vibe.
Positano: Picture-Perfect Coastline
Next up, like your Instagram-famous destination, was Positano. Basically, you see those stacked houses on the hillside so much but honestly seeing it in reality? Like, the reality is that it’s something special, honestly. Maybe it’s the beach, possibly the shops, in that case, even perhaps the general energy made it so you just wanted to wander and soak it all in.
The Beach at Positano
Walking down to the beach, is that something you’re wanting to do? In Positano, in that case, I think you absolutely should. Alright, so here’s something you need to remember, though, just so you know, it can get rather busy, so, too it’s almost, perhaps getting there early could be a good game plan. Basically, you get great views from down there. Still, taking some time to simply just sit and look at the colorful buildings going uphill really cemented Positano as a highlight, too, it’s almost.
Exploring Positano’s Streets
Seemingly winding streets led, honestly, to lots of shops selling things like local crafts and clothes. That, seemingly, provided lots of chances to get gifts and, too, it’s almost, souvenirs, although some prices were a bit inflated. So, to do it your best, seemingly wandering without any set plans helped reveal some hidden spots, and just a little glimpses into local life. I think if you do go, too, it’s almost, just plan to just get blissfully lost!
