Cape Town Tour Review: Table Mountain, Penguins, Cape Point
So, you are thinking of doing that Cape Town, Table Mountain, Penguins, Cape Point tour? I tell you, it’s one of those experiences that just sticks with you. Is that right? Getting a taste of what makes Cape Town special all in one go. It’s almost like speed-dating the city’s highlights. Really, there is the iconic Table Mountain, yes, that penguin colony that waddles right into your heart, is that true? Oh, then that dramatic Cape Point where two oceans supposedly meet. Actually, it’s quite something.
Why Choose a Shared Tour?
Well, there are many, many options for experiencing these spots, so I tell you about why a shared tour could just be your best bet. For one thing, really, there’s that price point. You know, very often it’s way more budget-friendly than, like your hiring a private car or, I mean really trying to piece the whole thing together using public transport. And too, it’s not just that it saves money; it also is saving you the effort of planning, so you will not need to be puzzling out schedules and routes. Oh and the logistics? Seriously, all handled.
That’s to say nothing of those guides, I think! What is that you can get here? You’ve got to remember you’re often tapping into a load of local knowledge. Okay, they do have info, they can really point out stuff you’d totally miss if you were going solo. Like a particular kind of plant, I remember being told! That too, like your chances of just meeting fellow travelers, so you’re sharing the day with other people, is great. More or less, swapping travel stories? Making new friends? Really, all that!
Ascending Table Mountain: A Literal High Point
I think this is just about every Cape Town tourist’s checklist. You could, should, visit Table Mountain. You just have to visit it, if you go to Cape Town! Okay, so with that shared tour, I feel like most of the time, that arrangement handles transport right to the cable car station, if that helps. What is a heads-up that I think could just be a major help? It’s always wise to just check if the cable car is running before you head out. What I mean? Weather conditions can sometimes shut it down. Still, the tour operators, really, they usually keep an eye on it and too often will adjust the plan if they have to.
As you will climb up in the revolving cable car I assure you! Wow! Seriously! Get your camera ready. Too it’s worth that view from the top that really will just blow your mind. You will view that expansive cityscape unfolding beneath you. What am I speaking about that glistening Atlantic coast? So, you do allow time to, like walk around on top, anyway. Take your time and check out, what would I say? All the viewpoints. See all the cool little creatures. This too I would say: even on a hot day it really tends to be quite windy up there, so too it’s almost wise to pack a light jacket, for real. I think I am going to be wearing a warm jacket even when it’s not too windy.
Boulders Beach: Penguin Paradise
Oh, my word! Here’s your dose of adorable for the day. How is that? Boulders Beach is very a stop where you’re going to get up close and personal with, you guessed it, African penguins. Just, I guess a short drive from Cape Town. Yes, really, so many tours will, like factor in a visit here. What I’d really highlight about those shared tours is that the guide tends to know just the prime spots to watch the penguins without disrupting their natural behavior, which really, is quite important. That seems like fun! Just look at them waddle, swim, and generally just do their penguin thing. Cute!
Like too it’s almost good to remember that is still a beach so too you have to apply sunscreen, more or less wear a hat. Really, I always just would keep a respectful distance from those birds. You do understand that they’re wild animals after all! Even if they’re pretty, still. That is, some tours might give you the option of swimming at Boulders, so be aware you could just be sharing that water with penguins. That might just be an added bonus for some, anyway, could be. Right?
Cape Point: Where the Oceans Meet (Almost)
Get your cameras ready, guys. That dramatic, like your rugged scenery at Cape Point is worth that trip alone. Really, as your shared tour goes here, what I found really helpful was having someone else handle those park entrance fees and all that, still. So there is Cape Point, just the reserve, actually it has a lot to explore. I would tell you, you go to Diaz Point, then ride that Flying Dutchman funicular, if you could.
What does everyone really want a picture of? The Cape Point lighthouse, for instance. What it does is provide pretty outstanding views, or so I am told, it can get a bit crowded during that peak season. That means you have to be patient when you snap pictures! Don’t expect to be alone here! Anyway, one of the iconic things about Cape Point? I would say, it is that sign that “shows,” like where that Atlantic and that Indian Oceans meet. Now you do have to consider! Geographically it’s not exactly that spot where that two oceans merge. A little away! Regardless, yeah, really it’s a super photo opportunity and almost a highlight for many.
Things to think over before you reserve this trip
How long this trip is and is it worth it is worth it? Generally speaking I found them long! Some can be 9 hours and some 10 to 12. Therefore you will need to be patient and ready for many experiences in only one trip. Now I will mention to you, keep in consideration that all that depends. Consider whether to extend that tour as a few private day trips exist too! This might require that you just choose your experiences rather than seeing all in one single day.
Too, like your best and really better part of just choosing the shared tour it really boils down on its itinerary. To ensure everything it’s what you expect and hoping to see. Right, if there is not time in your visit? Then you really get your experiences covered. What I mean? From nature up in Table Mountain to Penguins at Boulder’s beach and finishing up for a breathtaking experience, at the top in the old lighthouse in Cape Point!
What to Bring with You?
If you are preparing? And too if you want to experience your visit more, it almost requires! So, do remember a few key things! First is layers! Weather just turns swiftly in Cape Town! Really, it’s wise just to be prepared for anything! Is that right? Apply sunscreen, wear sunglasses, wear a hat and so really on… even on cloudy days! As, I was saying too often. Even in this area of world clouds tend to trick everyone in getting burnt!
Now what about for comfortable shoes? Or the need for comfortable shoes in general? Very necessary? Or would that be wise to pack or dress comfortably for walking? All three of the places I highlighted earlier? It does involve some level of exploring, or just walking around. Don’t forget to bring a camera for your camera moments! A smartphone could even do the trick.
Anyway do carry some water and really light snacks, that really does seem obvious but, some trips don’t all include many meal stops or food. So, keep that in mind before joining this trip.
Are Shared Tours Really Worth It?
Really at the end of that day, this shared tour I would say it’s a killer way just to hit so many highlights of the Cape. Okay, this tour covers from its icon point, to an experience watching animal life like in no other, to one historical adventure too it has it covered for an entire family! Still, I found that saving from cost and time! Just let someone else handle driving and, like your planning, I was really just free to just soak everything up. And that? I tell you, that is just worth it. Too it really all depends what is your preference too!
You would really require some considerations I mean for example with mobility, too if you need a ton of flexibility or your preference on solo exploration. Now what about a shared tour like this. Probably isn’t that best fit for this moment! Therefore the pros are more than the cons, in this trip. What I mean! Like too if you would love that comprehensive and engaging look. This is that best and more reasonable plan to consider! Even for your entire group.
Oh and too that thing on Table Mountain! Really be open minded on alternatives for shared travels! Table Mountain always require that climate for access to its beauty be optimum! Right! And of course its the reason why most people opt in this option.
Also too! I remember so well and pretty clear to what happened with the Pengiuns! You are in Africa here! Do ensure that when you are dealing with this precious species of animal to keep at a safe distance for many factors! So, really follow the guidance of tour companies! The guides too! Are just the experts! That really know the most. Is that right?
