Cebu Day Tour Review: Private, Lunch & Worry-Free

Cebu Philippines

Planning a trip to Cebu and thinking, that, “How will I ever get around to seeing everything?” Very many things to see, you know, but trying to string it all together can be tricky. I actually felt a bit overwhelmed myself, trying to see what could be fitted into just one day, so I figured that a Cebu day tour, you know, the kind with pick up, drop off, and a included lunch, might be just the ticket. And it really, really was. So, get ready, because I’m giving my review of how it went. I certainly hope you get as much out of it as I did.

Stress-Free Start: The Hotel Pick-Up

The best part of this tour, truly, had to be the hotel pick-up. There’s actually nothing quite like waking up knowing you don’t have to wrestle with maps, you know, or haggle with taxis. That’s pretty awesome, actually. So, there I was in the hotel lobby, coffee in hand, when the tour guide strolled in right on time, friendly and ready to go. The vehicle itself was nice and clean, and what I appreciated was how refreshing the air conditioning felt as soon as I stepped inside, getting away from all the outdoor heat. That meant I could actually just chill and watch Cebu wake up around me on the drive to the first destination.

Kawasan Falls: Chasing Waterfalls in Style

Okay, so Kawasan Falls. It’s pretty well-known and truly looks good in photos, yet being there is just, that, something else entirely. Very lush and picturesque and it’s easy to see why folks say you can’t miss this place. The water, oh man, the water looks a bit surreal: super clear and like, seriously, turquoise. When you’re standing there right beside the lowest tier of the falls it feels great as it crashes into that natural pool below. You can, as a matter of fact, even hop on a bamboo raft, the kind that will take you right under the falls, so you get a great, strong massage, that’s like one-of-a-kind. Just remember though, okay, to bring some waterproof gear for your phone if you, you know, want to get photos or videos.

Lunch with a View: A Taste of Local Flavors

After all that waterfall excitement, all that swimming and bamboo-raft-under-the-falls business, lunch became welcome, is that even strong enough of a word? Our tour stopped at this restaurant, and believe me, they picked it for more than just, that, the tasty eats. Right? It was also right there where you got some seriously amazing views of the Cebu countryside, as well, that really gave the food something extra. There were tons of local dishes, and it let me get really familiar with genuine Philippine eats: grilled seafood, tasty barbecued meats, that type of thing, plus plates loaded with flavorful fruits. It’s not too hard to say that it turned out the most energizing meal, one that prepped me to see even more.

Osmeña Peak: Reaching for the Sky

Now for something a bit different. Off to Osmeña Peak! So, I am just a bit breathless when I saw that view. The drive to get there was amazing too it’s almost like looking out from a vehicle became, that, part of the adventure. And that trek to the top? Seriously short. In fact, I mean just about anyone could deal with it. Is that you see what’s up there, anyway. Trust me; that is where you can see peaks that look like a jaggedy set of green giants sticking out all over, especially if it’s one of those nice sunny days when you are there.

A Smooth Finish: The Hotel Drop-Off

As the day started coming to its end, the tour dropped everyone right back off at their hotels, me included, which, if I am honest, turned out to be exactly the type of smooth finish I wanted. No need to fret concerning transport or puzzling out routes; only an effortless journey back to where you are lodging. I could sit down, remember all the day’s adventures, is that nice? Okay, and plan for what might be next.

Final Thoughts: Worth It?

So, alright, I hope my story can at least sort of shine a light on the kind of thing a person can get up to on this kind of trip. The Cebu day tour with pickup, drop off and lunch included? Very well-handled, took some pressure out of travel days, gave access to famous sights, is that awesome, right? If, as I do, you prize both relaxation and seeing sights then think about handing travel tasks over to those tours for a carefree experience around Cebu.
