This tour is, in a way, perfect if you want a chill morning or afternoon checking out some pretty awesome animals without, as a matter of fact, having to deal with renting a car or stressing over parking.

Getting There: The Transfer Experience

zoo transfers

Okay, first things first: the transfers. The tour promises to pick you up from your hotel in Naples, which it actually does pretty smoothly. So, the driver was on time, actually quite courteous, and honestly knew all the roads, meaning we got to the zoo super quickly. Actually, that part was stress-free, which, you know, is always a plus, actually when you are wrangling kids! If that’s the case, just a comfy ride makes a big difference in starting the day off on a super chill note, in some respects.

First Impressions of the Zoo

Zoo Entrance

As you come through the entryway, the Naples Zoo definitely hits you as a place that has that old-Florida thing going on. Like, it’s almost got these really pretty, old tropical plants everywhere, that really gives you the feeling that you are in some interesting, natural habitat as a matter of fact. If that’s the case, that is not like some normal, average city zoo. We got our tickets super quick— that the tour actually included — and after that we headed right to see the animals. I have to say that the setup just is very walkable, so you aren’t struggling with the kids trying to keep up, or anything like that.

Animal Encounters and Highlights

Animal Encounters

We were hoping that we would see the big cats and boy, we were in luck. The lions and tigers, honestly were just lounging like it was their own backyard, which of course the whole family really loved to see. And next to that, is that the primate area; it just had those monkeys and apes doing all of their funny business, and honestly we spent a pretty good amount of time watching them fool around too! But, the highlight for us all, might be, was feeding the giraffes. Actually, for a couple of extra bucks, you’re able to buy some lettuce and then hand-feed these big fellas. Believe me when I say that, seeing my kid’s eyes light up when these giraffes took the lettuce from their little hands, that really made my day in some respects. The zoo employees, they had this talk with a few of the different animal exhibits during the day. We made it to the alligator one and in that case learned pretty awesome facts about the alligators plus actually got to watch them eat, if you can believe that!

The Boat Ride Through Primate Island

Primate Island boat ride

I’m gonna say, I think, very possibly one of the best and quite a unique part of the Naples Zoo could be the primate expedition cruise. That tour runs all throughout the day and it really takes you on this short ride around this island filled with a bunch of various types of primates. Believe me when I say that, It’s super cool to, basically, watch the monkeys just run free on their little islands, without a doubt. The guide on the boat, he understood so much about all those creatures, also really taught the whole thing. Actually, it gives you the real feeling that, that little bit, of what you might see while you are on some kind of cool jungle trek in the jungles and rain forests that some of these cool guys and girls come from!

Time to Eat and Relax

If you’re hungry when visiting the Zoo, they do, in fact, have a couple of different choices when it comes to grabbing a bite. If that’s the case, we grabbed those sandwiches at the cafe that was right close to the carousel, and everything was pretty ok in a way and definitely wasn’t costing us a fortune, as a matter of fact. They definitely got places where you could just sit and relax. If that’s the case, if you are not someone who would like to eat at those little restaurant spots at the park, I think you’d actually be able to pack, in that case, that picnic thing so that, that’s going to really give you and the kids an opportunity just to be ready to sit down for a bit while. As I was saying, that’s what could allow you guys not to get to that stage which could make you go nuts!

What About The Gift Shop

Zoo Gift Shop

For all of your traveling companions or anyone, as a matter of fact, who might expect those things back at home; they really do have some super cute things available. If you ask me, it almost seems like a standard procedure right? However, I feel that this gift shop got many of those animal things and what not, that were honestly top notch. If that’s the case, in comparison to most other spots which is really important. Therefore, obviously if that thing to grab gifts seems important that can make an effort on this occasion. My kid picked one little toy thing, that’s been everywhere from our trips to groceries this week.

Final Thoughts on the Half-Day Tour

So, very much that half-day thing around Naples Zoo including transportation might actually hit that home thing as a relaxed thing while actually on family vacation that might include doing new things! So, If that’s the case, with things already sorted regarding pick-ups together with the opportunity just to have a time checking interesting species! And what species you’d most enjoy during your day thing there! With some factors that you can also appreciate with this is, clearly it really saves us doing too many effort around renting our own ride so that just something that we got appreciation for while it almost felt like something simple that was not stressing!

Is the Naples Zoo Worth Your Time and Money?

Visiting the Naples Zoo very much seems to be giving that excellent combination as getting super educated alongside supporting that cause associated to nature conservancy! But some points related whether the place should definitely be one of those things listed to your to-do agenda; If that’s the case, depend on what might interests us for certain as whether the crew could probably have some value around that duration spent around!

Some Things That I Will Say; In General

  • The good parts: Hassle-free transportation, especially really helped ones not wanting drive all the time. The different species collection thing going around including those boat ride part. And if that’s the case, it would give someone time with these creatures out of different point thing from just one normal garden setting place!
  • Probably something might not go right: If that’s the case, zoo freaks for super extensive gardens with species collection or just someone getting restricted timelines that is due, those time spent on tour activity may not give chance covering every aspects on time while around!
  • Best thing to consider when joining them: Slap with comfy walkers/creepers because what you getting over could definitely go bit.
