Review: Your 2-Day Lake Elementaita National Park Safari

Thinking about a quick escape, you know, someplace, arguably, off the beaten path in Kenya? So, then maybe Lake Elementaita National Park needs to be on your radar. I mean, it’s not as wildly known as, like, the Maasai Mara, yet that it actually hands over, well, some seriously good wildlife sightings, as a matter of fact especially if you, possibly, are really into bird watching. So, then this review is based, really, on, you could say, my own quick 2-day trip, arguably hoping it helps anyone, seemingly, weighing their choices.

Why Lake Elementaita?

Alright, so Lake Elementaita, it’s tucked into the Great Rift Valley, it is that one of the string of soda lakes, if you would call them. As a matter of fact, what sets it, arguably, apart, you see, is the, well, remarkable serenity. Well, I mean there are no gigantic tourist crowds here. Possibly, unlike some other, if you would, more popular parks, then it kind of feels much more, sort of, secluded, a little bit more untouched, you get what I mean? So, really, the landscape is very different too, honestly featuring, maybe, volcanic hills, that are quite bare plains, along with, arguably, the shimmering lake, actually. In fact, what’s really good is the easy access, alright the park is, just, maybe, a quick drive coming, usually, from Nairobi, possibly, making it, more or less, ideal for a speedy weekend, like yours.

Lake Elementaita, maybe it doesn’t boom out in news and promotions. So, therefore, you are right if that isn’t a place you have yet heard of, sort of. The lake has really drawn flamingos for long durations and long times now, in some respects attracting many animals and creatures there. That means you have chances to come face to face with numerous animals, literally. This place is, arguably, suitable for people hoping to run from packed famous, seriously. That’s one of the real selling points when thinking over this park when you want to, potentially, evade huge gatherings of vacationers. Alright, you can be sure that you’ll find so many animals without all the huge masses found in other places.

Day 1: Arrival and Bird Watching Extravaganza

We, arguably, got there, almost, in the late morning. In some respects the drive itself was, in fact, reasonably scenic. That means leaving Nairobi then you’ll, seemingly, pass through pretty vibrant farmlands. We literally checked into our camp; like, we’d gone for a little something very close to the lake for, you can say, awesome views. Actually, after lunch, there is something special here because it’s safari time. Well, you know, that being, first on the agenda then was some proper bird watching, literally! And trust me on it Lake Elementaita, frankly, is, if you ask me, like a total paradise for birders.

Arguably, that it plays host to millions of flamingos; in fact that really stain the lake shore pink! By the way, there is that many species too; almost 400. Anyway you can see pelicans, maybe herons, sort of, even the African fish eagle; they call it “a shriek machine,” right? I did learn so very much there when using my binocular that you need some good guide if this is right. By the way, you get to pick this up at one moment; they can usually pinpoint the unusual species. Basically, we rode off for a, you may say, relaxing sunset and a safari tour; it did fill, basically, me, at day’s finish.

Seeing a gazillion flamingos up close is, you could say, quite unforgettable, really. These gorgeous pink bird groups feed across the, let me see, tranquil waters which give an unbelievable view. Should I mention you see them rise jointly; maybe creating this ocean in pink! So you have to, possibly, have perfect gear at that instance, especially, possibly, if you like bird photographing? Anyway take some, kind of, awesome, sharp camera to totally catch some amazing scenery; so that way your picture comes perfectly fine, in my opinion.

Day 2: Wildlife and Scenic Views

We got early rises as well; usually we tried going out to discover everything by ourselves; at least we did for a small early time! Arguably, our guide led one trip on. Well I can’t honestly recall if seeing birds was something but our target did seem, like, a search on more wild-land wildlife that we liked. Frankly, zebras roamed plains as well. That is, so easily gazelles could graze. But maybe they can even cross pathways together.

Before lunch started it included brief hikes nearby into the geologic place named the, usually, “hot springs.” We, then, spent lots if time close at shore on our boat outing in the afternoon since one day was finishing so quickly now which proved pretty good actually since that way i saw it differently compared side and far-reaching scenes you can go, arguably. Really. In the afternoon then our hotel stay checked me up and then returned towards Nairobi later!

Where To Stay

Okay then there’s places aplenty as per Lake Elementaita for, generally, some stay: the resorts/camps! Possibly the lake shore lodging provide terrific convenience when it gets some pretty good outlook onto; a really awesome nature-loving touch, mostly because one gets awakened with melodies near your site everyday! Sunbird Elementaita Lodge: Alright, if, actually, that’s one of those mid-range choice giving great relief after those tours! That does a pretty good place there also since you view things going to occur, arguably!

Flamingo Hill Tented Camp: That becomes cool enough camping event really; as for feeling closer.
