Gran Canaria Catamaran Tour: A Delicious Beach Lunch Trip – My Review

Now that really gives you the opportunity to explore the underwater ecosystems. Those just might have some bright, flashy marine life. Remember that that water is pretty cold, usually.

Seriously though, swimming in the refreshing ocean is something everyone just seems to appreciate, right? Especially with that Gran Canarian sun warming you, almost always. Snorkeling? Also a great idea, to be honest. If the spot is chosen well, you might just see some schools of colorful fish and all sort of weird underwater rock formations. It’s basically a very nice way to add a dose of adventure to your relaxing beach time, you know. Don’t go too far from the boat though, please. That idea does occur to me, yeah.

Keep in mind that these aren’t really super advanced snorkeling spots. I mean you likely won’t see huge coral reefs or a ton of exotic sea creatures. Still, that whole experience really makes a relaxing dip in the ocean way more fun. It, arguably, is just good to float around a little bit and watch the small fish dart to and fro. Maybe you want an underwater camera? Anyway, you might also, you know, consider bringing water shoes, that volcanic rock does get quite sharp, just saying.

Food can vary a little bit by tour, of course. The goal generally is something satisfying and flavorful, anyway, with an appeal that satisfies a diverse range of tastes. Dietary requirements can sometimes be met, just tell the people when you reserve. Drinking options? I think those are commonly available, ranging, like, from soft drinks and water to that local beer and maybe some sangria too. Be mindful and have water sometimes as well.

When booking one of these tours, it’s really worth considering whether you, like, need some sort of dietary accommodations. Gluten-free, vegetarian or allergies can often be accommodated if, that is, you communicate those needs beforehand. Telling the tour people that you have limitations really just ensures everyone gets fed well.

As for beverages, a pretty wide selection may, actually, be on offer, I suppose. From soft drinks to maybe some local wine or beer, depending on the specific tour, you know. Stay hydrated when you are baking in the sun! Also, you know, that sangria seems refreshing. If you’re planning on drinking alcohol, definitely moderate yourself. The combination of sun, sea, and booze will knock you right out. Drink enough water. I want you to hydrate.

The Crew and Atmosphere: Making the Trip Memorable

Another important piece to talk about, surely, is the crew. Those who tend to really contribute to a good vibe on board. Usually, they’re pretty friendly and they definitely make sure everyone feels welcome and really safe. They may, anyway, also provide commentary, sort of pointing out various points of interest along the coast and maybe share cool stories about the area. This local insight? It really enhances the experience overall. These can be local experts on, actually, this whole specific type of tourism.

Overall, that atmosphere on board, I mean, is really a mix of, sort of, relaxation and fun. Many people sunbathe and chat with fellow passengers, while, like, others really just enjoy the music and the beautiful scenery around them. Some of these catamarans, for instance, have nets you can sit in and dangle over the water. That can be amazing if the water isn’t too choppy.

Customer Service and Onboard Entertainment

Pay some attention, too, to the attitude of the crew, that can really affect things! Ideally, you see a staff who are friendly, know all the safety procedures, and really want people to enjoy. Those folks, anyway, should, likely, make you feel cared for and, of course, enhance that overall comfort.

Now for something related, maybe there’s music, maybe the vessel even has, I don’t know, watersports or games on board? That can really help lighten up any tour. On top of a view of the landscape. I recommend bringing some waterproof suntan lotion.

Is it Worth it? The Verdict.

So, when weighing whether a catamaran tour like that is worth your hard-earned vacation money, consider just what these trips deliver: scenery, that fun beach break, a delicious meal, plus the overall great experience on the water. The price could just be considered really pretty decent for what you are getting.

Sure, there could, arguably, be cheaper ways to spend a day in Gran Canaria. I would agree with that statement, mostly. But that experience of seeing the island from the ocean and, generally, having such a stress-free, all-inclusive excursion? You might find that pretty valuable. I did, maybe you will, too.
