So, you’re thinking of experiencing Tanzania? That’s amazing! Perhaps a safari is at the very top of your list. Then, consider me very lucky, because I just got back from the ‘7 Days Comfortable Tanzania Safari,’ and let me tell you, that it was an experience! From seeing the massive herds in the Serengeti to looking into the depths of the Ngorongoro Crater, that it was incredible. This write-up gives you, like, a real look at my time, the ups, and the surprising bits, that can help you decide if it’s, like, the trip you want. Plus, I will share some tips so you can just make your trip unforgettable.
First Impressions: Arrival and Settling In
Landing in Kilimanjaro, it feels, that is, an awakening for your senses. The air itself, that’s just so different – warm and carrying, you know, this kind of, scent of earth and adventure. Someone picked me up, very on time, from the airport, and then drove me to the first lodge, that it looked, right away, luxurious after my travels. After I settled in, it was almost, that is, to feel like I could actually breathe, so you can prepare, both mentally and physically, for the days to come. Like your hotel too it’s almost luxurious and well prepared! Getting a good night’s rest is something very necessary; very important that, because tomorrow that promises animals in large numbers and the wild beauty of Tanzania.
Days 1-2: Tarangire National Park – Elephants Galore
Day one started in Tarangire National Park. You get it right? Elephants, elephants everywhere! I hadn’t seen animals that large in number since that, honestly, Attenborough special I binged. Driving along, that it’s pretty nice to, be surrounded, that is, by these tall baobab trees felt so strange. You see? I got pretty close (but at a safe distance, obviously!) to elephant herds that they munched, right, on vegetation, that it really struck me so differently than watching on a television, which really makes this trip a treasure. That is that your guide just really has information about animals and their behaviours that, really, made it fascinating. Anyway, we had our suppers under the stars. A luxury hotel! I mean what could be better. So, honestly, I fell asleep just thinking on the things I had watched.
Days 3-4: Serengeti – The Great Migration
Moving toward, to, the Serengeti; very that the landscape started, you know, expanding limitlessly. Almost in that your camera, basically, did not even quite seem able, that’s right, to seize the scale of this place. Driving straight to where the Great Migration happens? Yeah, it definitely blew my head! Being able to stare at millions of wildebeest and zebras, too that they were all together on the horizon? Seriously there are just no expressions that come to me. We stayed, too it’s just worth pointing out that they stayed, there, in a tented camp. As a matter of fact under that, literally, starry skies it made all, well everything, pretty darned unique.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – A World Within a World
Like that! You drop off the edges of Ngorongoro Crater that’s something a bit crazy. Think about what a world inside, to be very precise, an extinguished volcano could be! You feel, right there, so near lions, rhinos and flamingoes all residing alongside. It really has you amazed because that the region is just absolutely filled, right, with greenery that’s all inside that, it’s really amazing you know. We spent an entire afternoon simply driving round and enjoying these various species inside its ecosystem. Anyway, I simply was amazed; just by that rich and unique bio-system! It’s worth it!
Day 6: Cultural Experience – Meeting the Maasai
You know what? Seeing animals in great quantity is, clearly, excellent, I agree! However, on the 6th, really quite special day that it gives me something entirely novel: time together; that’s very kind, among all the Maasai tribes-people. Seeing their lifestyle is something; very unique; seeing how they maintain tradition, honestly, so vitally. Talking, basically, to the Elders, that it opened one to things. Almost? You’re beginning really to have new ways and opinions on lifestyles; really quite differently; than one I have been raised; that that’s something too to learn from it. It actually really makes your trip something much larger than some basic adventure outing too.
Day 7: Departure – Saying Goodbye to Tanzania
Everything had to end I suspect. Having, just one day to, prepare so I might have a goodbye, just, with Tanzania; what a feeling that can happen as you journey, slowly, back towards Arusha towards your flight away. Sitting over so many days of journeying that now? Your senses and your minds almost get full to overflow. Really? A Tanzanian exploration, of those things like that? Well it really stays deeply among your fond memory, so for keeps it will remain in there. Basically it gave me quite a fresh perspective and I have grown fond memories for, right, life’s wonders. Like it was all worth experiencing.
